Thanks Terry, he has had a good run on the 5000's and I am really liking the Rubino pro endurance tyres too. They are a bit heavier than others but seem bomb proof and corner really well. Both Mike and I are loving our cycling at present, especially getting out to these new cafes a bit further afield

We have been hitting the Yorkshire Dales big time James and I can't get enough of it to be honest. It's been a while since I went out into Cheshire too so need to look at getting out there at some stage. If you ever get the chance though, get out over this way pal.
Cheers pal, yes that's right, a lot of these rides are coast to coast, WOTR roads etc and also parts of the many Yorkshire sportive routes. I do like the trough of Bowland but then I go to the Yorkshire Dales and think the same. I guess we are spoiled for choice.

Mmm, I love a pint of Timmy Taylor's, and yes it was a really good ride. We are now crossing over certain sections up here that lead to the next valley from where we finished previous rides. There's so much of the Yorkshire Dales to cover. It's a vast and beautiful county.
Great ride Daz, we did a very similar ride last year. I remember that climb out of Pateley Bridge, and we also descended Trapping Hill. Cafe stop in Masham too! Mike, great bike, crap tyres 😅- highly recommend Vittoria Zaffiro Pro for those long rides - very rarely had a puncture !
Cheers pal, we were out this way out on Saturday again, 9000ft of climbing ! I've been using Some great vittoria enduro pro tyres. They make the bike 400g heavier but don't even show the lacerations from debris off the road. Reliability is key rather than performance.
Fantastic video and mighty impressive stats on the ride Daz. I love the commentary on some of the descents and not for the faint hearted. Stay safe out there you two. 👏
Thanks Jay, I do like editing but I can't just sit down and create a video over night. I have to walk away believe It or not to give my mind a break. This one took about 40hrs to put together over a 2 week period or so. The maps can take a while to create in Photoshop too but it's the narration that can be frustrating at times, especially if I've had a glass of wine and my words won't come out 😁
Nice one Daz! Doing the Tour De Manc tomorrow, 100 miles anti-clockwise around 9 boroughs of Greater Manchester, 6700ft of elevation gain 😬. Be nice to cycle around some of your roads. I’ll keep an eye out for you if you are out!
I saw the signs on the A680 above the Odd Betts yesterday near Ashworth Valley. Have a great ride John, I'm resting for a couple of weeks at the moment as I've got a groin strain or something going on.

I have so many videos all around the local area but it will be like trying to find a needle in a haystack unless you use key words or tag words. In general, most of the hills around here are never too steep and if you are reasonably fit you should be ok John, they tend to be gradual and a bit long. It's the wind that can be an issue because most climbs are quite exposed. Saddleworth moor is nice and that whole area is hilly, you are in the heart of the Pennines in that part off the world . It's also lumpy on the Horwich side long climbs and quick descents .

Mr Daz can you not talk Mike into putting some Gator Skins on or is that Bianchi too posh for them, great video thanks very much mate. Will the Edale and Mam Nick video be coming next ?
Mike has since put some continental GP 5000 tyres on which have performed much better. Personally I agree that Gators are really good for all day riding and would sacrifice a few grams of extra weight for their reliability.
Getting a road bike in a few months, cant wait to do what you do!😀. Oh yeah, how do you manage to ride such long distances but i get tired after 8 miles?
Great news, a road bike will make you feel 10 times faster even if you are only going a few mph more 😁 All I can say is, "chapeau' to you and enjoy this great sport. Let me know how you get on.....
@@MrDazP1adv3ntures Oh yeah if I can't get a road bike, im thinking of converting my 3x7 mtb to a 3x9( hopefully thats possible) and you know i hit 30mph on the flat, what would i be rolling at when im on all max gears?
Just make sure that your biggest gears are actually different on the 3x9 compared to the 3x7. 3x9 might just offer you a better range or spread of ratios but if the outer chain ring is no bigger and the smallest sprocket on the cassette is the same, you won't be any quicker. I would put slick tyres on a MTB too that will defo make it more efficient.
Hello Adam, this is something I need to look at and possibly share the gpx file in the description of the video. It's a simple enough route though and I'm a bit old school where I will normally read a map and get an idea of where I need to be on the day. The garmin touring gps I use is actually very good at navigating whilst on the route if I put in a town that is nearby , It will generally find a good cycling route and avoid busy main roads.

I did wonder how you were navigating as you seemed to be reading out directions. I did the way of the roses two weeks ago so it was nice to see some of the route I did. I'm yet to edit my video. Have you done a how you edit tutorial? I will check your previous videos.
Hello Adam, how did you get on with the Way of the Roses. It's probably the best ride in England you can do in a day or over a weekend. As for navigating, I like to plan the rides and at least have half an idea where I'm going where as on a group ride, sat in the bunch chatting away, you can pass by many a mile not knowing where you have been or where you are going. I have also started to pre-programme the Garmin, the night before with key villages to head for. You can quickly access them on the home page under recent finds. Can I ask what editing software are you using for your videos Adam

Thank you Benny, I do have a panning video to edit actually but I have accrued loads of other videos that will take me some time to get through. The problem is this time of year. I spend too much time outdoors and can't keep up with the editing.
Thanks Ben, I will get out with the gold pans at some stage a bit more and I do miss it too There are quite a few channels in the UK out there making content about their gold panning sessions at Our rivers.
