A very underrated and early song in their catalog that has almost a "rhapsody" structure to it is called "Remenissions" off of their Waking The Fallen album. Heavier, but very unique and has very interesting parts.
I’d recommend “The Wicked End” by them as there is a section in the song where an orchestra plays and it’s beautiful or even “Roman Sky”. Both beautiful songs that I’d LOVE to see you decompose!

Bat Country is probably their most popular song, and in my opinion is the best representation of them as a band overall. Another song that would be cool to see you do is So Far Away. Written about their original drummer, the Rev, who died in 2010. M Shadows hits some INSANE notes at the end.

I would recommend something from City of Evil. Everyone in the band is on top of their game and their original drummer, The Rev has incredible drumming throughout the entire record. Burn it Down and Blinded in Chains, Bat Country, and Sidewinder (really great flamenco esque acoustic solo in the back half) are all great choices. Besides this album, Almost Easy and Exist are great listens too!
Diamonds in the Rough is probably my favorite album from these guys. The song writing was a lot more creative and less mainstream. I'd check out 'Tension' or 'Dancing Dead.' Man, you seem to be doing ALL of my favorite bands. These guys were my favorite band for like 8 years back in middle school and high school. Save me is also a masterpiece, I'm seeing that recommended a lot. That album was right after their original drummer died so the drummer on it is Mike Portnoy from Dream Theater, one of the first drummer's biggest inspirations. Portnoy's playing what the original drummer wrote.

Avenged Sevenfold is hands down my favorite band. Each one of the band members is incredibly talented even with a handful of radio friendly songs. Imo best song of the album is Dancing Dead, one of the greatest main hooks I’ve ever heard, you should check it out sometime.

Cause You asked and I didn't see it in a comment (If it's there I'm sorry/ not sorry cause this fun for me 🎉) M. Shadows (Matthew Charles Sanders) is lead vocal, and while most of the band members support with backup, Syn aka Synyster Gates (Brian Elwin Haner Jr.) is the shredder and main backup vocal... I know you don't like to gush over bands but I highly recommend you check out this guys wiki cause it's pretty impressive and gives you good idea on the talent Their older stuff has him screaming, and it was one of the 1st things I loved about the band... sad he doesn't do it anymore because it's one of a kind; so unique and vital to their sound, but you can occasionally hear the "scream" come out of the guitars in their later stuff so their sound has just evolved ... some say for the worst, mainly because of their old drummer (I think) but really, imo, they have grown from amazing musicians to phenomenal ones. So complex and intricate... and they treat their fans / people really well ... Thank you so much for doing these guys... I recommend Waken the Fallen - I Won't See You Tonight parts 1 & 2 ... but it's VERY important that you listen to both back 2 back and you'll just have to see why, but it's "Reaction Gold Status" or whatevers you might calls it 🎵🎼🎶

Cause You asked and I didn't see it in a comment (If it's there I'm sorry/ not sorry cause this fun for me 🎉)
M. Shadows (Matthew Charles Sanders) is lead vocal, and while most of the band members support with backup, Syn aka Synyster Gates (Brian Elwin Haner Jr.) is the shredder and main backup vocal... I know you don't like to gush over bands but I highly recommend you check out this guys wiki cause it's pretty impressive and gives you good idea on the talent
Their older stuff has him screaming, and it was one of the 1st things I loved about the band... sad he doesn't do it anymore because it's one of a kind; so unique and vital to their sound, but you can occasionally hear the "scream" come out of the guitars in their later stuff so their sound has just evolved ... some say for the worst, mainly because of their old drummer (I think) but really, imo, they have grown from amazing musicians to phenomenal ones.
