Cheers Hans for the support. That's a great idea we will try make one about pop up technique shortly, I remember when I was learning a couple tips and tricks would have gone a long way!
Nice podcast guys! That was awesome! I would have loved to hear your thoughts and experiences about how tiring pumping is. If you were trying to pump as long as possible, what would stop you? Would your back leg be burning first? Your front leg? Your breathing? How did you guys manage to pump longer? How important is technic versus physical strength? Looking forward to your next episodes! Cheers from France! 🇫🇷🤙
Cheers for the support Yves, sweet to know that we have viewers over in France that is epic! We will keep your idea in mind and try to incorporate it into a later podcast. Thanks from the foil project crew.
Do you guys have a recommendation for how much volume a prone board should have that one could also use as a sinker board in wing foiling? I reckon it’s somewhere around half one‘s bodyweight?
From personal experience trying a couple of different boards a volume of about half your body weight maybe just a tad over would best. Also just be wary that volume is definitely not everything with these kinds of things. For winging, you probably want a board which has a bit of extra surface area to help you get out of the water as opposed to your prone board which you will want to be a little bit narrower for carves and pumping. Personally I chose to buy a board that was more adapted towards prone foiling, and then just winged on that as well. But depending on whether you prone or wing foil more, that might not be the perfect option for you. Hope this was some help - Hugh.
