would you be able to recommend an artist in the Atlanta area, because I've been considering going back to the islands to get mine. I've wanted to get one for years. but it would be expensive for me to go back to the islands, I'm determined to get it done right. i won't let an artist touch me without practice and knowledge of how to do one and the symbols. correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the artist supposed to design the arm and choose the symbols based on life experience?
Keoki in Atlanta has a shop and he specializes in polynesian work. I have all my ink from him. Great artist and understands the culture especially me being half Islander
@justintuggle1226 nah man, I live in South Carolina. Keoki was the closest polynesian/ pacific tattoo artist near me. He does a pretty good job he knows Josh the owner of Island tat. I personally never met Josh but I watch his video cause I want to know about the culture my ancestors came from and the meaning of the symbols. Keoki knows them too so if u do decide to go with him he is very knowledgeable. I go both sleeves, half my neck, upper back, traps shoulders, and my chest done. Still got more work to he done.
