Teddy, Thank you for your coverage and review of this range of watches. This Timex is no Tudor, Omega or Rolex, etc+ but the Timex name means something to me as a 52 year old. Call it nostalgia but this was a watch my father wore. It always looked good on him and he was extremely successful later in life. I bought one today and can't wait to wear t for the next 25+ years I hope I have left lol
For anyone watching right now, Amazon has these and the Timex Q on sale. Especially the M79 is almost at 50% discount. I just ordered one for around 150. Definitely worth a look if it catches your attention but the original price point made you think twice .
Respect for putting a negative in the title, even though you have monetary interest in your audiences opinion on this watch! Personally I love this watch, and in Norway you can get this one dirt cheap, especially used. Would pick it up, but I'm kinda split on the quartz movement, anyways a great looking mega fun watch!

I just want to say, I really do appreciate you for giving your honest opinion and straight facts following the review. There yould be more than just a hand full of people who would only advertise wrong so they would gain money fast, if they were in your position -as an AD. At first I was skeptical about you reviewing AND selling watches, but lately you really convinced me with honesty and non BS reviews. Keep it up this way, the right and only way. If I only had 250 to throw around I think I would go for Seiko, but nevertheless a good looking watch. I do think though that the Q quartz is better. It is more indicative of the original watch. Nice video.
@DiscoFalcon I think also there is a different consumer that buys seiko compared to this. Many of those that fit that mold are not going to be watch enthusiasts though.
I think the problem is that these watches are selling at the suggested retail price, and are almost never discounted. There should be plenty of room for sellers to sell at a lower price point and still make a profit.
Love the design, but the accuracy at this price point is rather bad. For extra 100 you can get phoibos with sapphire glass, 300m water resistance and hacking movement (Miyota). As much as I like this design, in terms of price I think it's a rip off.

Otherwise I love it dude, I can tell you were so upset he just evaded questions and wouldnt simply admit he used Alibaba and other things. He got away with it but people are finally catching on. Thanks for watching, Scott. Despite evading questions, I give Jake the founder of MVMT props for sitting down and for what he grew. I don't like the products but you can't deny their success. As far as the videographer at the end, that was just a joke. The person recording is still very much involved in what we were doing, he just started joking around while we were rolling and we just played it off like a real fight and thought it was funny to keep in. By the end I wanted it to come off a little bit trolly because after all, we are talking just about watches at the end of the day.
I'm glad to see that Timex has decided to make some of their newer watches in the 40mm sweet spot. For a lot of people 38mm is an automatic Hell No. Unfortunately, 14.5mm fat is an automatic Hell No also - as is the non-hacking movement. Hopefully, someday soon Timex will get it right. It's a nice looking watch, but it has to fit well too.
I don't see the value in this watch. It looks good don't get me wrong but your paying for the name which at the end of the day ties to a manufacture that is known to make cheap watches. So a over priced watch from a cheap watch maker. The Timex watch collectors will go crazy for this one.
It is a cool watch, but agreed, it is in a range now even compared to the marlin where it is getting harder to compete against the likes of a Seiko/Orient.

Again, an attractive piece but overpriced. Seiko 5 or Orient are big hitters at this price point. Nice review as always Teddy.

Worst part is it’s clasp, which is fiddly to close & can come loose accidentally at times.
