    if I made up a clamp mould for a surfboard blank, would this foam using 2 A's and 2 B's be enough? and would it be dense enough once it is compressed in the mould, unable to expand any further, bearing in mind that any soft spots are not good for shaping and glassing surfboards.

      HI For a flexible foam or sponge you will need a different type of foam altogether. some foams are specifically designed to be flexible or spongy when cured. This one is purely designed to be rigid and reducing mixes of one part will only prevent it from curing. Kind regards.

    • @ecfibreglassuk

    hello sir is this foam open celled or close cell and can this be used in solar heater water tank?? thanks

      Hi, this is a closed cell foam. You'd have to do some testing to see if it would be suitable for use as insulation in a water tank, but it should be fine. Have a look at the data sheet for more info, the manufacturer should be able to give more info

    I'm thinking of using this in industrial insulation But I need to know how much it expands, is there any mathematical equation I can use that relates the quantity with the volume ?

    • @ecfibreglassuk
      @ecfibreglassuk  4 года назад +1

      It's not suitable as insulation, you need a higher density for that. 2kg of mix will produce 2 cubic feet of foam

      @@ecfibreglassuk is using compressed air would make it more dense ? in this case will 2 kg will always produce 2 cubic feet of foam or more? Thank you in advance

      @@amirabouzid4691 This is not sprayable. It's meant to be mixed and poured as in the video

    Can somebody please give me advice? I am molding a 3-D animal target for archery and wondering what foam to pour to create the same/similar foam that shop bought ones have? Any help would be much appreciated. I was thinking about using this same polyurethane expanding foam but it seems too rigid and would break after only a few shots.

      +Tiger Mw Hi there, unfortunately that's not something we'd be able to help with, you may need to get in touch with a foam specialist.

      I am an archer and I have worked with this poly foam. If you made a target out of this stuff it would not last long.

    Thank you very much for the vid. You mentioned that stirring vigorously causes larger cells, while stirring less vigorously produces smaller cells.
    How does cell size affect the final product? Are the smaller cells more rigid?
    I am looking for an application that will lift and support concrete slabs. I would like to have the most efficient materials for that use. Small cell or large cell?

      if you are saying you want to use the reaction expansion from this to push or lift up a heavy concrete slab or shift a heavy slab from it's position I don't think it it can do what you want

      you’ll need 4 pound foam for that.
