I love the Onomat archetype, except when you see Yuma's monsters or strategy and then see Yusei popping out monsters left and right, you see a decline in skills and cards. It's a real bummer because most strategies involve a bloated R4 extra deck, which isn't bad, but if I want other plays I'd need to play more Girl, Head, or Sister, and those Normal Summon cards really slow the deck down.
Yo know, as jank as it was, i remember trying to play wind-up ZWs and that deck was honestly one of the most fun decks i played. Tho that was back when the ZWs were the blade, the whip, and Leo Arms
Late as hell, but gagagas surprisingly make for a solid, functional engine. Paira can search for Gagaga Sister and Gagagacoat, and Sister can search for Gagagarevenge. You can send both Sister and Coat to special summon Nefariouser Archfiend from the deck, and with Nefariouser's effect and Revenge, you have 3 bodies on board, 1 floating. Due to Sister's and Pickup's level modulation, you have rather easy access to ranks 2, 4, 6, and 8, and because you never locked yourself into xyzs, you can go into link plays or synchro plays as well.
I really like using a pure Gagaga deck, it's funny and fun, and with some generic cards, it can be scary. I do wish the Gagaga got more support, I mean there's enough of them to be their own archetype, come on Konami gives us more of these magical mha monsters & support cards!
Onomats players also come with effect if they summon 2 or more Onomats in the same turn, people will think they are having a stroke or speech disorder.

Yeah, I ran across Ganbara Knight, and when I looked into their name, it was more of a phrase, not an onomatopoeia, so I made the decision to leave them out.
I must say this is probably my least favourite protagonist deck. Boiling it down, there are two main reasons for this. 1.) The effects and playstyle are awful. What you have is essentially a Rank 4 engine but because Yuma spent Zexel collecting Numbers of different ranks, then they have to implement level modulation. Most of said level modulation falls squarely on Gagaga Magician, as the other Monsters are too busy having irrelivent sh1tty battle orientated effects you will never need. Whereas the Rank 4 swarming tends to only come from the hand, which means it is worse than most other generic Rank 4 engines that exist. I'm not asking for Satellaknights but it has to be better. 2.) *[This is kind of a personal point]* I find the aethestics to be all over the place. Look at HEROs, Performerpals and Dark Magicians. They all follow a theme. Synchros & Cyberse, also have a theme of speedie warriors & cyber space connecting them. Even strenching out into stuff like Neo Spacians, Stardust and Pendulum Magicians, they tend to usually be connected to the primary archetype said protag uses. Code Talkers are built ontop of Cyberse, Odd-Eyes is the main attraction for the Preformerpals circus routine, Stardust embodies speed and you can imagine space aliens teaming up with HEROs. Gogogos, Dododos, Zubababas have pretty generic aethestics. Now, golems, knights and more knights do kind of work together but they don't have personality. They look more like non-important pack filler. With Gagagas, who have a Japanese school aethestic. I dig that one but it is kind of foreign for me. I can't really point to them and say "Oh you have the goth, the prep, the council president, theatre geek, the jock, the science nerd, the fassioniesta, etc". It certainly needs work. I mean I recognise the Bancho but that is about it. I guess you could say that Yugi's deck was all over the place as well, with DM, Buster Blader, Magnet Warriors, Gaia, Joker Knights, Summoned Skull, BLS, Gazelle, regular fiends, etc but it was a different time. Plus, these archetypes were clearly each their own thing, as evident by new waves of support. You're not supposed to play Magnet Warriors with Buster Blader. There are some cross-over cards but they are few & far inbetween. Yuma's deck should not be all over the place and we have not even gotten to Numbers & Zexel weapons.
