I finally made this Caesar dressing. I was unwilling to give it a try, because I thought that, well, you know, not the best food combo, dates + overts + citrus... there is some food combining thats a no go like lemon and coconut, but for the most part its 3 to 4 things combined max and you should be ok

It’s a neat trick to change the texture and imho makes this dish! Great to have cauliflower as is too, especially with a dip, but I prefer this method when eating a significant amount. Hope you enjoy!

If I harvest a bunch of cauliflower from my garden, can it be FROZEN for a long period of time before making these? Or does it have to be done only for 8-hours before starting to dehydrate them? I'd love to be able to harvest and freeze then use it later as needed!

Awww bless you too! Totally fine to harvest and freeze for a longer term, 2-3 months n there would be minimal loss, much longer than that is all good too but there will be greater nutrient loss and chance of flavour change. Airtight ziplock n giver!

Although it’s been rare to have leftovers of this one I have had some of the wings in the fridge overnight. They were still good but the texture changed a bit 🙏🏼

Hey Chris I'd like to know where I can get sun-dried tomatoes WITHOUT any salt, sulfates/preservatives, or oil? It's literally impossible, I've checked all supermarkets/health food stores, and online at the "Raw Food World" store they sell them but they're way too expensive ($21 for less than a lb).
+Naimah B. Barake that’s strange, in Canada I can find them at a few major grocery stores, I can dig up the place we bought them for wff, although I know it’s pretty expensive too. Best bet is to get a inexpensive dehydrator and make your own, then you know for sure. Let me know
Great. What do you think about that many raw foodist says nightshades are not good, as tomatoes, bellpeppers, zucchini etc.? And many ones cannot tolerate it. How to keep raw diet low fat without them? Thank you in advance!
Thanks! In my experience while some people have symptoms from them it’s quite rare, less than a percent, and overall they are healthful and delicious. Really it’s easier to keep it low fat without them by focusing on fruit and greens with small amounts of nuts / seeds, generally I find more fat is eaten with the nightshades.
@@TheRawAdvantage Thank you, yes you are right. I am sensitive for them unfortunately but also for fats, nuts. So I need low fat, but without them its very hard! Salad itself its not delicious...losing weight...So no idea how, I hope I can heal this. Also lot of experts do not recommend like Don Bennet, as they say those are toxins what we are sensitive for, and some other not, it does not mean its not harmful. 🙄😵💫
As a generality focusing on more calories from fruit can help with weightloss, green smoothies and otherwise low to no fat salad dressings on greens are great too. Mango based dressings or citrus too. Some like to make things black and white, I do not see nightshades in that light nor does the largest consensus. If someone notices something then likely wise to stay away for a time before testing again, sometimes it can be a short lived sensitivity.

Good recipe and good idea but my concern is the prep time . It appears that you have to let them to dehydrate for over 6 hours just for maybe 20 minutes of a meal ? From a efficiency stand point I don’t see how this can be a long term plan for people
All in it’s time and place, the actual prep time is about 20 minutes and then you let sit in the dehydrator. While it isn’t necessarily a every day meal it can be a fun and festive meal or appetizer to share with others on occasion. The intent is to create options and variety for more enjoyment and entertainment rather than used as a staple meal. Hope that helps 🙏🏼

So for this one and the cabbage rolls I noticed you froze the cauliflower first both times. Is this because it makes the texture more pleasant for dehydrating or something else? Thanks!
Indeed freezing causes the water inside to expand and rupture the cell wall of the food, softening it and making it feel more like cooked texture and more juicy.

I don’t add salt to my food but if I’m at a raw restaurant or potluck and it’s in there I’ll still eat it.

@@linda.ekstrom indeed there are many negatives to using salt ranging from high blood pressure, water retention, overstimulation of tastebuds and more. Better to get enough sodium from whole plants🙌🏼

damn...the only thing is frozen food isnt technically raw as stated in the Essene Gospel of Peace....welp oh well. I know theres still good recipes that dont call for freezing and I could probly do this without freezing right? hmm. I know that the garlic with pine nuts and apple cider vinegar cheeze wiz sauce with dehydrated crackers made from chia seeds is probly amazing cant wait to try that. Its on " The Healthy Life"'s channel
You can make them without freezing, that said it makes a big difference in taste, texture and ease of digestion and imho isn’t something to worry about or avoid. Freezing is the best method of preservation with very minimal nutrient loss, by near every definition it’s still raw.

Li B no prob, the entire written recipe and proportions for the spice mix are linked in the description. For the amount in the video the spice mix is ( 1 tsp cumin, 1 tsp chili powder, 1 tsp paprika, 1 tsp ground mustard, cayenne to taste) side note, Chili powder isn’t simply ground Chili but a super common “Chili” spice itself, I’ve heard other countries don’t have it, that mix itself of paprika, cumin, oregano, garlic and cayenne. is "raw" no cooking? or is it nothing above a certain temp that kills nutrients?
Typically it simply means not cooking above 115-119, or at least not getting the temp of the food above that level.
I liked this recipe except I'm going to skip the cumin. It overpowers.
