I think a big thing with Hutch is he went through a bad leg injury in college so he knows what to kinda expect and how to come back from it. And if college is anything to judge him by he will come back better and tougher then ever
Here’s how I see Hutches situation. Immediately following his break. The Lions team doctor was right there when it happened. I have to believe that being a Professional Football Team and all the money it makes from revenue. A, they have the best money can buy. B. As they were taking him away on the cart. Every precaution, under the sun, was taking to make sure they weren’t doing any more damage, that hadn’t been done. C. When it comes to a pro football player, they’re taking him to the very best hospital for any situations that may rise. In fact it was Baylor Hospital one of the top surgical teaching schools in the country. And lastly; you better believe as far long as the Lions sucked? Now becoming one of the best teams in football? They’re going everything possible to get this guy healed better than before. In my entire life I’ve never seen the Detroit Lions shatter NFL and Franchise records as they’re doing now. I’m at “End Stage Of Life” Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease along with Atrial Fibrillation heart issues. I believe this is the year they win it all. It’s definitely been the “Next man up” philosophy. And so far they continue to win. From Sheila Ford Hamp, all the way down to Brad Holmes and Dan Campbell. They are going to do everything possible to see the Lions win the National Football League NFC Champions to the Super Bowl winners.
I was thinking 66. Three depth at every position. And still have a rule for emergency kicker punter and long snapper from practice squad during the game.
We will be Lucky to win the division just way to many injuries and I still love our coaches and players but it is what it is disappointing surely but even if we don’t win another game I’m still extremely proud to be a Lions fan
I agree. Reader out now, I mean this is a critical game. But it seems like they’re in it for the long haul. Not pushing anyone to play. Hopefully we can get some players back in the coming weeks. Iffy would be great, JRM, pascal and Levi I mean this shit is ridiculous.
55 years later. My compound Fibia break started hurting 7 years ago. The problems is not just the bones. Soft tissue also needs to heal correctly. It also caused a blood cot in my lung 6 years ago. That was a bit uncomfortable. Oh and the broken Tibia, on the other leg? Sometimes that just hurts and swells now and then. No I did not break them at the same time or year.
Hey salute to our team yes i want to win the super bowl yes i want hitch to come back but at the end of the day i dont want him to risk his career i would rather see him come back next year fully healed this team has already meet my expectation that defence has held up just like i said our offence is on 🔥if we win it all great
Im not dogging anyone here and this may just be an opinion of mine but unless using sign language, a man with a lisp has no business saying "secret sauce" so many times in the span of a single conversation.
He probably has hardware in right now as he had surgery. Assuming they did an open reduction internal fixation. Not sure if you can play LB with hardware in your leg.. Would probably need a repeat surgery to remove it. Then more healing. Seriously doubt he would be ready for superbowl. The other question is "should he play" even if he can.
They need to stop, this is a no brainer, even if we don't win it all, to build a dynasty, a winning culture for a decade. It's about Hutchinson right now while he's out. If they don't get him back to his, full potential as a franchise player, defensive player of the year, pro bowl, all defensive team, and hall of fame, caliber career to me they have failed. Him coming back early or too early to be injured again, especially at 80% that doesn't impress me!!!
Lmao 😂 it's broken bone not a torn acl lol 😂 4 to 6 months and with his money and treatment he gets hes getting way better than we'd ever get lol once it's healed there's almost no other risk. So if he's cleared then he's playing
I get that, and im right there with you. But if he's ready to dress for a game and they're in the NFC Championship game or the Super Bowl, even at 70 or 80%, he's gonna have the pads on and ready to go. But I'd just hope that he'd be limited to between 10-20% of the snaps. Count on the rest of your defense to make stops, and when there's a 3rd and 7 or longer, let Hutch line up and disrupt the pocket.
Hutch might be ahead of schedule for normal everyday use; however, I hesitate to claim ahead of schedule for actually playing in a NFL game. Geez, the guy needs time to rehab back to game strength. On a separate point The Dr.’s explanation on the Lions injuries is as close to what I believe. I have said many times on social media that the Lions players will literally run through a brick wall for the coaches and the team, so I believe that last year we were lucky, this year is now over the average expected, but not too surprising since their way of playing is to break down the other team. Now, why so much the defense? Think about it…defensive guys all of them have to engage with the opponents whether a tackle or in the trenches. The offensive skill players are mainly trying to avoid contact with the exception of the OL, and DMo. And, the OL and DMo did have some injuries too, just maybe more closer to the average expected.
If you are ahead of schedule on everyday use then by definition you are ahead of schedule for returning, weather he keeps this healing pace or not is a different story, but before you can return to game strength you have to be able to walk and run
The thought of hutch coming back scares me. Plus it looks like hes lost 50 pounds already. Come back next year where you are nessecary to DEFEND the championship. Yes i have high expectations now go lions
It’s so funny when people say that. That means nothing. Even he’s healed in time to play, he’s not risking any injury. The question is just how quickly he could be ready and how effective he would be. He obviously wouldn’t have a full time role if his conditioning isn’t there, but playing even a spot role and getting 25 snaps or so is obviously better for the team and doesn’t hurt Hutchinson at all.
Pain meds are NOT the “secret sauce”. In fact pain medications CAN prolong healing due to masking pain which is your body’s way of telling you something is wrong and can cause you to do too much too early. The “secret sauce” they are referring to may or may not even be a medication to begin with. It is just their own formula of rehab and medications that may heal someone more quickly and whatever proprietary methods they use that would make their clinic more high profile and sought after. That’s the difference between your local urgent care and a high end sports rehab that professional athletes and celebrities go to (and pay exorbitant money for the privilege).
No. They played on Thanksgiving Thursday and are playing again this Thursday. 7 days. Idk if you were making a statement or asking a question. Punctuation is important. Lol
So it's not on the strength & condition coach, I get it. But wouldn't that mean it's still on the coaches to put the mentality in their players that if your 20 points ahead in the 4th quarter and I don't have you sit for some reason, you need to back off a bit so you don't get hurt? That has to be acceptable too. There's just to many year in and year out for it to be just dumb bad luck.
I don’t get it. Even if he is good enough to play he’s in no way going to be in game shape. Why even risk re injury he will in no way be 100%. This is all media chat
Smh...read something please. No ligament damage no arterial damage and no nerve damage, and bones heal stronger than before they're broken...so he'll be better than ever
I've worked alongside a lot of people in physical therapy, the body's ability to heal is truly amazing, quadruply so among young professional athletes.

Conditioning is what gets the players through the 4th quarter, last man standing. It’s not the cause of the injuries
It will prevent some for sure.
the Detroit lions need BPC 157 peptide to heal quicker. The NFL should allow this Peptide , apparently it is amazing for healing
Oh they are using it for Aidan I’m sure. TB 500 also. They are both almost like magical wizardry for healing.
Ginger peel! Takes swelling out so the bone can heal
Ketoprofen gel is one of the special sauces.
Yea no peptides they can’t even take viagara
PEMF therapy also
I think it's time for the NFL to expand rosters during the season. I think a max of 60 players is a good number.

NFL requires a media buy-in for shows like this to play clips. It’s like 2 million dollars a year.
