You can also use the Powerwash feature in the Chrome os settings, its in advanced, reset settings.

Great job! My new duet worked for 1 day. Now the screen backlight turns on no text. I don't think I want to reload the OS. It might be a hardware screen issue. I'll keep looking for a simple reset not a hard reset. Great video! Very interesting and helpful if I need to go down this route.

@lapfix, I'm using the exact Chromebook model you are using. But when I was using my laptop to make the recovery USB drive it kept saying "unable to write to the selected USB flash drive or SD domain card. Your device's write permissions may be disabled, or your domain administration may have disabled writing to USB storage" I really need this Chromebook for school though, what do I do?

I had a problem with the keyboard, my problem is that the keyboard won't work sometimes it says keyboard not detected but it was connected and none of the buttons do anything

Hey man I have a quick question I have a chrome book Lenovo Duet 5 just got it two weeks ago it was working fine 2 days ago didn’t use it I tried using it again right now and it does not charge and I can’t turn on my chrome book at all I plugged in the charger and no light or anything turns on what can possibly be the problem ?
Since it has a USBC port, it can be the port or charging IC on it

@@wahebraihi3923 you can use a Bluetooth keyboard/mouse,, and there is a Glass kbd built in
My just still opens to the login screen. Does not work.
If you have the tablet - Press and hold the Volume Up, Volume Down, and Power buttons for at least 10 seconds, then release them
If you have a keyboard - Press and hold Esc + Refresh , then press Power . Let go of Power.
On some Chromebook models: Press and hold Esc + Maximize , then press Power. Let go of Power.
When a message shows on the screen, let go of the other keys.
