      Basically he said, IJF banned this cause ppl get injured pretty easy, and it doesnt look good on TV. He loves this throw, but hes glad he doesnt have to worry about people breaking their arms.

      The try with thicker mats, only eliminering techniches

    • @AGuy-s5v
      @AGuy-s5v Год назад

      Thicker mats are not the solution to the injury problem.
      The problem is how Tori is rotating Uke, or should I say, the sudden stoppage of rotation.
      The footage that Shintaro is providing is a decent example of a correct way to preform this technique.
      The wrong way (which leads to injuries) is prefaced by a resisting opponent and Tori forcing uke to dive headfirst into the mat.
      Look at how Shintaro's uke is very close to getting spiked (I am not saying Shintaro is doing dangerous stuff, it's the nature of the technique).
      What saves uke is the fact Uke knows this is coming and that shintaro is going slow enough and utilizing control for uke to continue to roll.
      Even in the intro, Shintaro continues to roll, mostly for uke's safety.
      In a live match, all Tori has to do to really hurt Uke is to do the Reverse seoi-nage, and near the end of the throw Tori just needs to punch the mat with the sleeve grip.
      Which is pretty simple to accomplish, either on purpose or on accident.
      A better way to do this throw would be to not entirely drop to your knee, and when you load uke on your back you kick off in the direction you're sending uke for added rotation/power.
      Which by that token would also be safe since you're continuing to rotate so uke doesn't get spiked.

    Great technique, Shintaro. When we start with training some day, I think we will start with some easier throws.
    Have a nice Sunday 😊!

    reverse seoi looks different though. Look at how it's explanained on Stuart Tomlimsons channel. You'd have the left hand on the lapel, outside position. Then turn the other way than you would with a regular seoi until you're back shoulder to back shoulder

      It’s more of a reverse entry to a drop seoinage. Cause the end result is actually just a normal seoi

    • @liukang85
      @liukang85 4 месяца назад

      honestly I feel the same... this isn't the reverse seoi usually seen
