    Love or hate the guy he did his job. He played that role. He was a great teammate and not the same guy off the ice as he his on or on the game day itself. I met him after a game in Ottawa and it suprised me how nice he was.

    What was once an asset became an obstacle. His antics became too much of a liability for his teammates because he ended up in the box too many times which was detrimental to the team when the other team had the power play. Still, nonetheless, he was always entertaining.

    Well I love Sean Avery, but he has done a few things off the ice he shouldn't have done. He was always funny and he wasn't a great hockey player technically, but when he was kicked out of the NHL I wasn't the happiest person. That said of all the players we could have back I would put him as a relief player. Not a Keith Primeau or Adam Foote. They are well rounded players and Avery was just funny.

    • @brutalplanet1708
      @brutalplanet1708 3 года назад +4

      Not every hockey player is a role model. If they were....they'd be called role models...not hockey players. There are athletes that are...and athletes that are not. What athletes are....are entertainers. Sean was entertaining as HELL. He could play a good game too. And to call him the biggest disgrace to the sport is a bit of a reach. A saint? No. The biggest disgrace? No. A role model? No. But that wasnt his job. He was hired to annoy and score some goals...which he did. I can guarantee you he was never hired for the purpose of being a role model. And if he really was as bad as everyone claims...the NHL is as much to blame as anyone. Every team that signed him knew his reputation, his style, and what he brought to the table. A gritty player, that could play the game and run his mouth.
