Don't worry if you don't get everything at first. You should watch each video multiple times until you can follow along without the English subtitles and write down any words you are struggling with. Over time, you'll piece everything together the same way you did with your native language. My goal is to build a complete Cantonese immersion course that will get you to the conversational level. So stay tuned for the next video!

the best thing about your videos is that you describe EVERYTHING (slowly and very articulate), and that really helps me build vocab and listening. ive noticed that im reading the subtitles less and less.
Keep it up!
As a child of HK immigrants who grew up speaking Canto but started losing it over time, videos like these are so helpful! I keep pausing it on every phrase to repeat the words and it's helping me learn sentence construction. Thanks Brittany!
I am half Vietnamese and half Cantonese born in Sai Gon (now Ho Chi Minh City). They also have "China Town" in Sai Gon, which is called "Cho Lon", and it got various street foods mixed-up between Cantonese and Vietnamese that I think you would enjoy.
That sounds tasty, thanks for the tip! 😋
Been to vietnam. Went to hanoi and saigon. met a bunch of cantonese speakers and was able to talk to them and stuff. very helpful. Thought i needed to know vietnamese but surprisingly, majority spoke cantonese!
I'm trying to improve my Cantonese so I love watching your videos. This one is pretty cool since I love Vietnamese food!
I need to practice but also I need to learn sentence structure. I've learned Spanish and French in school, so Canto structure isn't sticking in my brain as well. I'm so grateful you teach traditional characters.
Pho is everything! Have some Banh Mi next.
Nice video Brittany. You speak clearly and slow enough to understand most of it. Really nice and useful. Thanks
The quality is amazing, I'm surprised you don't have more subscribers
Thanks for your kind words, Ed! Please share!
@@cantobritt Just did on reddit :)
Thanks Ed, I really appreciate that!
Thanks Brittany. I'm Vietnamese living in Hochiminh city. If you ever come here, I invite you to eat many street foods and bubble tea as well. 🤗🤗
I’d love to do that someday! 😋😋😋
try bun bo hue next time very spicy
I love your videos! Your pronunciation is so clear and helps reminds me of the Cantonese I'm forgetting. Keep it up!
Glad I can help. You keep it up too!
Thanks for sharing this awesome video, it's exactly what I need, I'm a Vietnamese trying to learn Cantonese. I can watch this 100x times.
Thanks 🙏 and good luck with your studies!
I appreciate your videos especially the jyutpin and english thank you
Thanks 🙏
I'm living in Ho Chi Minh City and in the area of D5, there's a heavy vietnamese-chinese presence, you can go eat dim sum and the staff will most likely speak cantonese :) !
That’s very interesting! Hopefully I get to visit someday ☺️
Hi Brittany , i am a Vietnamese but living in HongKong and my Cantonese is very poor. Today I found your RUclips Chanel , I can learn more cantonese from your videos . Thank you very much 😍😍
Enjoying your videos. Watchingand following from Belize.
Damn that’s a huge truck, also you Cantonese is so clear !
Maybe it’s cause you’re eating food, but you seems a lot more relaxed and presented this video super well!! Awesome stuff and I love Vietnamese food too. Eat it at least twice a week lmao
Thanks James! Twice a week sounds reasonable to me 😂😋! I hope to eat everything in Taiwan someday....🤞🏻
Looks very delicious and with fresh ingredients indeed! Could even hear the "cruuuunch" from your first bite into the fresh roll!!! Yumm!
I'm really enjoying this style of video. Seems so authentic! Keep it up! I'm learning so much~
WOW! So yummy😋😋😋
I love pho, i generally like to add rice to mine...soo good!!
Hi! Question, when you said you like their Pork Vermicelli (Zyu1 juk6 mung1), Isn't mung1 Vietnamese? Mung1 in cantonese should probably translate to Mai Fan2 because when you go to the grocery story, on the dried Vermicelli packages it will have Chinese on it and it says 米粉. Sorry I come from a Cantonese and Viet family background so sometimes I get confused too when my parents use both languages lol.
I understand most the Cantonese u say..Feel like back in HK. :)
Nice truck btw.
I would definitely recommend doing a dim sum video. Too bad you are not in Toronto anymore. Markham/Scarborough literally has the best dim sum places.
I agree 1000%! When I go back, I'll definitely do a dim sum video :)
I am craving for a bowl of phở now. Have you tried eating bánh xèo, Vietnamese crepe?
look delicious!
Yummy!
I like your truck... you should make a video about your truck or cars 🚘
I had never known ‘basil’ in Cantonese until just now
You driving a truck is cool
like the hat!
0:58 - 1:04
As an mix kid (我爸爸是华人) living in Saigon, Vietnam, i feel like the Canto community here use the L sound instead of the N sound like jyut6 laam4 jaan4 (jyut naam4 jan4)
你好美和廣東話非常好
Hi
好食到seok seok 聲^^
I like your hat hahahaha
Add oil. One of the waitresses at the local Vietnamese restaurant speaks Cantonese.
ho ho sac!
