Thank you for this great review. I have owned the X100F for over 3 years and I confirm the qualities you mentioned for this camera. Attracted by the new optics and the weather sealing characteristic of the X100V I bought it but had to return it because it had this overheating problem often mentioned in the tests.
The X100F is my last remaining digital camera. (It's like an incomplete bowel movement.) But, this is a great camera. The 50mm screw-on lens is a game changer and I've found no degradation of image quality - you get the same great images. Definitely worth the investment, especially since it's your favorite focal length. Enjoy.
A digital camera, what?? I have the X100T...😀. Being a long time film shooter, I like the dials, it's a very film like shooting experience, and it's a great documentary and travel camera and EDC. Your shots rock!
Thanks John! Yes it will definitely travel with me when we can do that again. The other thing that I found this last weekend is that my wife loves shooting it too! She got some great shots this weekend. It's such a great all around.
That's some nice pics, love it, great vid!

Hahaha great comment. I didn't know that was an option, 50mm would be so fun on this camera checking now.....!
That newer V version has better optics but more importantly weather sealing. It would be a worthy upgrade.
Oooo that's good to know! I would love some weather sealing as I could take this thing with me every day rain or shine.

@@CLOCKCOUNTRY Andrew, she will probably not want to give it back... 😀 Maybe the next YT channel will be Mrs. CC??...😀🇯🇵🤞
I'm a Canon shooter but will not be selling my X100F anytime soon. Can't beat the joystick and D Pad sorely missing on the newer models.
