I’m loving the DBXL videos! I have a DBXL 1.0 that’s just about stock and has been sitting in the garage for a few years now. I just started working on it again. Replacing old fuel lines, a new tank and just cleaning it up. Super excited to get it running.
Cool! I watched your last video with the minor upgrades, and the car seemed easier to drive. I wonder if you should consider changing the diff oils. Great video, Great Family!
I have been thinking of a diff oil change. The tires are also super bald now…lol. I have a new set that I am going to swap on and use for the dirt and grass. I’ll get some video of that and hopefully it helps
@@rollwiththepunches5932 thanks for the info, I’m taking my old motor and doing a full mod top end 32cc and was wondering if I should keep the 1107 or upgrade. I may start with the 1107
I went up on the gearing currently. Right now the issue is the interference with the fuel tank. I may try to make my own fuel tank so I can start gearing up more. I think I need to change the diff fluids first
I haven’t had any issues…don’t really drive it in water. Any rocks would have to be small and the clutch is spinning so fast they would have to get in there quick and they would probably get spit out..but they do make sealed clutch housings if you plan to run in pretty nasty terrain. I just prefer trying to keep the clutch as cool as possible…helps with longevity and being able to keep the power down.

I just saw this video today. And since this is such a small world, I to live close to you. I'm in the 626, I was on the phone with Dan over at OBR two days ago talking about this exact same setup for my DBXL 2.0! Seems like it's a blast to drive! How much if any did the OBR impact your runtime?
It is not polished, just raw. I wish it was zinc washed or plated, as it has a little surface rust now.. I may scuff it off and just give it a light coat of high heat paint.
That's awesome. I'm just getting into the rc gas. I have a lot of electrics but the dbxl 2.0 is going to be my 1st gas. Keeping fingers crossed it shows up today
Great buggy and engine, but even greater, the fun the kids had with dad!
Greatly appreciate the positivity!! We have a blast and I’m glad they enjoy it as much as I do!!

So much torque. Are you going to gear up, larger pinion gear. Nice engine upgrade 👍🏻

Don't you worry about crap getting into that clutch with the openings in it like that? Water, rocks🤷

It’s a beast, and it didn’t seem to change the runtime much
did you polish the Turtle racing clutch bell? I was looking at it on DDM and it does not look like yours. if you dd polish it, what did you use?
