That 845 was a huge disappointment for raw power. Plenty of speed but once the resistance hits it suffers. 840 is a beast. That’s the only dewalt impact I kept. Love that thing with the power stack. Bauer might be huge but it goes hard don’t it buddy💪
The Bauer tools themselves are decent - but the batteries have a high failure rate in my personal experience. I have had two 8AH and one 5AH batteries fail within 6 months. Putting me - $250. The batteries and tools are "stupid" which leaves the charge management function to the charger, accelerating the failure rate. Given my experienced 50% battery failure rate has proven that buying Bauer is, unfortunately, a false economy. I have gone back to paying the premium for Milwaukee tools and batteries as I have not experienced a single battery failure in the decade+ that I have used them. The saying "you get what you pay for" appears to very true in this case.
I guess I have been very fortunate with the batteries, the battery I was Using is over 2 yrs. Old as you can see the wear and tear on it in the 🎥. Had never heard of the batteries failing and I'm surprised that the new 21700 cell battery is failing as well since it's a Hercules battery in red without the 5yr. Warranty. Sorry to hear, you had a bad experience with the batteries but thank you for leaving a comment 💯👍
Bauer has been great to me. No battery or tool issues, you will get a dud from to time but thats all tools. For the price, they do have a nice rubber molding to protect their batteries and they had been doing this as far as i can remember. Most big name brands have just started adding a rubber molding to their batteries.

I'm planning on running them against the Herc. Hope it doesn't offend any fanboys. 🤣
