Thanks for commenting. I appreciate the feedback. I'll be 68 next month. Last year, I was obese, weak, and unhealthy. After having a health scare last year, in which I almost passed out while driving my car on a highway, I watched the Netflix health documentary, "The Game Changers", which advocates switching to a plant-based diet to improve health and athletic performance. I was so desperate to extend my life span, I decided to give it a try. By switching to a plant-based diet, eating no more than 10 times my target goal weight of 180 lbs, and doing compound exercises for partial reps to failure every other day, I lost 63.8 pounds of excess bodyweight, my blood pressure dropped from 146/92 to 117/71, and the number of pull-ups I can do went from 3 to over 10 times that amount. I uploaded a RUclips video of me doing 5 sets of at least 30 pull-ups during the same training day at the age of 67. I believe the reason why many senior citizens suffer from sarcopenia, or muscle loss due to biological aging or inactivity, is more due to inactivity than it is biological aging.
OO-RAH!!! No, the Syedee Seal Row Bench doesn't come with a barbell. I use mine with a Titan Fitness Seal Row Bar, an Olympic curl bar, and a regular Olympic bar. When I use an Olympic curl bar, the weight plates are inside the J-hooks, instead of outside when I use my seal row bar. I like the Syedee Seal Row Bench. It is different that doing supine seal rows, or when lying on an elevated flat bench because the legs won't raise since they are in a bent position, which is how seal rows got its name-- that is, many people lift their legs up when doing seal rows, which makes them resemble a seal with its tail raised.
Very true. Yet, my 4 home gyms are going to become more crowded because I recently bought more home gym equipment that hasn't been delivered yet. The good thing about having many different types of exercise equipment is that it is much easier for me to rotate exercises than the average home gym owner. I have many ways to do the three primary compound exercises of the bench press, deadlift, and squat, and many other common exercises, like the clean, front raise, jerk, press, row, side lateral raise, and upright row. I also have many ways to do pull-ups and chin-ups because I own many pull-up bars, which includes a rotating pull-up ladder, a flying pullup station, a Powertec Assisted Pull-Up/Dip Station, a Base Bar Plus Pull-Up Station with has a thick pull-up bar, two squat stands with pull-up bars, a KT "Feet Don't Touch the Ground" Pull-Up Station, a power rack with a pull-up bar, two Stamina PT 1690 Pull Up Stations, and Pull-Up Station which is still in the box that I haven't put together yet. I only need one. Yet being able to do pull-ups and chin-ups in a variety of different ways helped me to be able to go from only being able to do 3 pull-ups to over 30. I firmly believe in overwhelming the problem of obesity. Last year, I was obese, weak and unhealthy., but after having a health scare (I almost passed out while driving my car down a highway), I decided to go all out to overcome obesity, regain good health, and achieve muscular endurance, size, and strength as a senior citizen on Medicare. My plan worked. I lost 63.8 lbs of excess bodyweight, and my blood pressure dropped from 146/92 to 117/78. I have spent many thousands of dollars on home gym equipment, but what I spent is far less expensive than open heart surgery or a stay in a hospital intensive care unit. I don't know how much money others will spend to gain an extra 1, 2, 5, 10, or more years of life, but I will spend as much money as I possibly can.
You look good man for being 67, definitely look younger
