I would pretend to be asleep because I wanted my dad to carry me in from the car, but he would always "wake me up" and make me walk inside. To be fair, I was probably too big to carred inside at that age, and I had three younger siblings, so I can see why he didn't want to carry all of us in. 😂 But I just wanted to be snuggled!

I think it’s great that we can do our own health research. Dr’s can miss a lot, but sometimes it can help if you go in with some information of your own. After all, it’s your body and they don’t know everything you’re feeling. Plus sometimes you’ll think something is normal when it’s not😂 It’s really helped me too.

As one of the older aged followers of this channel, I can say that we didn't always fall for the "being asleep" game. In fact we almost always knew.
We just didn't let you know that we knew because a lot of times you would just then fall asleep by pretending to be asleep. We just had to stick around long enough for you to not want to dare move.
So instead of you fooling us, we were fooling you.

When my daughter was 4 years old we moved across the country from Melbourne to Western Australia. To make transporting all her soft toys easier (she had 326 of the bloody things) I vacuum packed them.......but forgot that nearly half of the toys had batteries in them.......it was quite an unforgettable noise. Most of those toys never got their batteries back. Another fave for annoying, noisy toys was to "forget" to take them out of the boot of the car when we got home from going somewhere, particularly toys gifted to her from my mother in law....those I always "found" when we arrived at the in laws house. Just a few more future parent tips for you.

It can be a savior and a curse. In my case, a savior. I had bloating that continued to get worse about 8 months ago. It wasn't my period so I thought I had to go to the bathroom because I tend to get a tad bit clogged up here or there. Then I noticed my stomach was getting hard, my ankles were swollen and I was out of breathe more quickly. That I couldn't write it off. I made an appointment to go in but I did some research in the meantime. When I went to the doctor, I was immediately sent to the ER and then by ambulance to the large city nearby because I needed blood. My hematocrit was 4x lower than normal and had to get 5 units of blood transfused into me. I had antibodies that required a specific type (which I wasn't even aware of). I had every test under the sun to find the root cause. I did have a sizable fibroid that caused the heavy periods for months but because I felt fine, I didn't follow up. I was there for 6 days. Now I'm on meds and iron supplements. The curse of looking things up online can also send people into a false sense of security. Many symptoms can be many things. Some people will be nonchalant while some people will catastrophize everything. No one should use Google before making an appointment.

It was cute at first, but now he does it every chance he gets, when I'm not expecting it. This morning I was about to reheat my coffee in the microwave and my son said, "He's gonna jump!" I didn't brace myself in time, and splattered coffee everywhere. It's like getting hit with a furry bowling ball 1st thing in the morning!
I adopted this big kitty 6 years ago from a family that was scared of him. They named him "Maverick" because of his headstrong ways. The last straw was when he dragged a live rattlesnake into the house and killed it on the living room rug. They were expecting a baby, so Maverick had to go. I googled symptoms, especially for my young son. It worked pretty accurate actually. Maybe it’s in the deduction method.
One day my son has a rash on his lips. I googled & match his condition. Turned up it was an allergic reaction to excessive fluoride in our new toothpaste. As he stop using it the rash disappeared
Some cases need doctors. He was once has like bumps & wounds on his arm. After googling I want to go to doctor but my husband say it’s just a wound. Then I call my friend a specialist. I send him pictures and he told me to quickly go to pediatrician. It turn up to be water pox.

I actually never looked for my presents. My sister convinced me one year to peek a couple by peeling back the tape and it was such a buzzkill that Christmas morning that I never did it again. A lot of it is the anticipation, right? The surprise. Anyone can just hand you a toy, it’s lame if you already know what’s in the wrapper.
On that note, my secret mom trick was to tell the kids Santa needs at least a month’s heads up on gifts because they take time to make or obtain (y’know, sometimes he’s gotta work with manufacturer inventory and all) so that there would be no last minute Christmas Eve miracles expected.
Also, makes me so angry, but I remember when people I knew started avoiding me to the point that one lady even saw me, looked in directly in the eye, and then frantically hurried down a hallway away from me, and I’m thinking that’s it, I’ve out-stayed my welcome, they’re finally sick of my crap, and stopped trying to talk to literally anyone until we finally moved away… turns out they were all awkward with me because of something that was going on at the time between my husband and a mutual acquaintance of all of ours that he’d hired and had to subsequently fire because said acquaintance was actually stealing money from the business! And I guess all they heard was that my husband fired a father of 6 they all knew and loved and never got the (none of their business) full story and I, my socially inept and insecure self, got caught in the crossfire. Sorry… that whole “why are they avoiding me” seems to have triggered something…

@@alloralou4722 ...Thanks for replying, but why pretty gross? The nurse has undoubtedly done this before, and the patient will only find relief getting the hard stuff out. Sadly, so many people just don't understand how their body works, and that shit is not a shame.

My lil Bro stocked up his guest bathroom vanity mirror cabinet as a mini bar. There was a sign that said "if you found my secret stash - please help yourself to a shot" - If you were cheeky enough to snoop - are you then cheeky enough to come out and *high five* him for the laughs (and shots). No one ever admitted to snoopery!!!! - but I do wonder if he drank them all.....Hmmmhahahahha

When I was a kid we called it a batteriectomy. I learned the term from my mother and still perform this procedure on those loud, annoying toys lol

Charlotte, GET THIS!…I googled my systems and it said I have cancer. Turns out I do. Maybe I should have googled different symptoms. 😂 gotta have a sense of humor about it huh. Monday is my first appointment at the Markey Cancer Center. I just wanted to let you know that you have definitely brightened my days since I found your channel.

Never tell the kid that you'll buy them a new toy after disabling it. They will NEVER let you forget.
