This Is Why You Defund Old People

Today in my HOI4 Millennium Dawn A to Z series, I play as Algeria, the first country in the entire series with an actual industry. However, you start with a big amount of debt and losing a lot of money. There was an easy fix to this, which was defunding old people. Once you do that, Algeria is a surprisingly strong country, Definitely not as torturous as a lot of things i've played so far.

There Is a sub mod for millennium dawn that does new icons but also makes the weapon market cheeper and more affordable for nations with small economy's instead of buying 84 tanks for 12 billion dollars you can get them for 50 million it also lets you buy planes it's a mod worth checking out I will ad a link to the mod later or you could search it it's called millennium dawn icons and weapons market

Do you actually do anything in order to get the evnt that buffs the economy for free ? Or is it just random.
I think after you integrate tunisia / moroco or libya you can form the United Arab Republic, it has cores from moroco all the way up to syria and iraq lol. Did it as Libya and it was a lot of fun, especially the war against Egypt.
