  • What cause the fans on "The One" by MidNite Solar to turn on? Is it some pre-defined power value or are they temperature controlled? I don't know, so in this video we'll pump some power through the inverter to see when the fans kick on.
We're also gonna find out if they're "jet engines" like some other inverters or are they quiet when they run...

I'd say temperature controlled fans. A hot August, in a shed, will heat things up even running less than 1000 W. Midnite Rosie inverter turns fans on at 47ºC. I can pull 2.5kW from Rosie, and it takes about ten minutes before the fans come on in low speed.

A temperature based fan threshold is really the only thing that makes sense. I've only seen cheap inverters do anything different.

Hi Adam, Is that it for the Victon equipment? I particularly enjoyed the customisation mods you did with grid charging, you said then there would be more stuff to come.?

@@dieselpower3202 this is for the MidNite all in one inverter.
Have you seen some of my other Victron videos since I did the AC Ignore and grid charging? There’s been quite a few. Here’s a playlist of the Victron videos:
