Oltre alla tecnica "belcantistica" mirifica, è stato anche un grandissimo interprete, di classe e raffinatezza infinite ( vien da ridere alle accuse di "freddezza" da parte dei tantissimi incompetenti che vedevano "caldo" per esempio un Pavarotti, totalmente inesistente come imterprete). Nel Werther, poi è INSUPERABILE, nemmeno Schipa gli può tenere testa.
