Appreciate the video even though it wasn’t a great day. I went on Lanier Saturday and caught 1 small spotted bass on a topwater and 2 spots on a texas rig worm. It was crazy busy with the pleasure boats and jet skis. I definitely prefer to go out during the week.
I *think* I saw you this morning, not too sure. Had my pop out in the kayak. I had a pretty good top water bite this morning, 3 spots pushing 3 pounds and missed a bunch. If it was you I saw, the area we were in had ridiculous pressure all day. Thanks for sharing even the tough ones. I gotta start trying the roaches, I dunno what I’m doing yet 😅 Hope you have a great week.
Thanks! I'm pretty sure I saw two guys in a kayak. Yes, it was way too crowded for my liking. I think I saw a center console fish right on top of you guys.
Man it's just nice to get out on the lake sometimes. Like you I have been feeling like that deer here lately too in all this heat..🤣.. Great Video Dana!!
I know it’s probably hotter down there in your neck of the woods, but it has been too hot to fish much past 10 am up here. I can’t wait for cold weather. Bring on January!
Hope you guys caught a bunch. I got to fish with my son yesterday and we had an awesome day. I worked on the video today and in spite of some camera issues, tonight's video is a good one.
@@FCPFishing All things considered , we did pretty good just about every time out for whatever we were after. It was awesome fishing with Samuel and in a later video I took him to the Stumpfield to try to get him on a biggin and sure enough he landed his PB…. A real beauty ! Glad you got to get out with your son, those days are special !
I'm a kinda beginnerish angler. I go out to Lanier often (2-3 times a week). I do live in Roswell. I was wondering what you'd recommend to be THE BEST bait or lures or crank baits to ACTUALLY have a chance at catching fish? Thank you! And enjoyed your vid!
There are way too many to list, but I would say a jig and craw is essential. A Spro E Pop is as well. I would suggest going to my home page on RUclips and watch back episodes, you will see lots of baits and techniques in action, and you will notice that certain baits work best at certain times of the year. These patterns happen every year and you can use that to catch more fish. For cranks, I like a Spro Rock Crawler. A Zoom Super Fluke is a must have. The list goes on.
I can't belive i caught more than you did today what is the world coming to i caught 7 but only got 5 in the boat i geuss theres a 1st time for every thing mine was 2 top water and 5 with the worm
I hear ya on the top water bite brother! I had 6 top water strikes on Sardis Creek Saturday morning, not a single hook in them. I finally got 3 Saturday morning trolling shad raps in a feeder creek and that was it
Excellent video with good info . Sundays are tough days period on any lake ! Tight lines !
I usually do better than that, no matter what day it is. I guess I can't complain.
Good job Dana, in spite of, at LEAST the effort was made, I appreciate you and all you do, THANKS Dana, THANKS 🎣
Thanks Chauncey!
@@FCPFishing Always Dana 🎣
It's still a good video. Hope you're feeling better 💙
Thanks Lori, I am!
Good days and bad days ,never give up!
I've got nothing else to do.
Thanks for that spro e pop tip in the last vid. I bought some at Hammonds friday morning and had luck
You are welcome! I have been using them for years now and have caught literally thousands on them.

It's always busy on the weekends. Sunday was ridiculous.
A lot of us would be more than happy with a day like that.
I am a bit spoiled...

@@FCPFishing Amen!!
You still had a better day than I had the other day, only caught one lol. Headed back to Hartwell in the morning. We’ll see how it goes.
Hopefully you do better than I did.
Just returning from a week away fishing with my great nephew who was visiting from Montana. Even those slow days can be good days on the water.
Hope you guys caught a bunch. I got to fish with my son yesterday and we had an awesome day. I worked on the video today and in spite of some camera issues, tonight's video is a good one.

I buy mine in Alabama also Center Alabama right by Weiss lake
Are you talking about Thump Gel? If so, what do you think of it?
Tough luck”…..Dana
I can't complain. There are bound to be a few tough days. It is still better than sitting at home and watching TV.

I got 5 in the boat, just not on film. I don't think the cameras like this heat.
They don't count unless you get them in the boat. Universal rule lol.
First here
You are very quick!
Good to see you anyways, they can't all be good days! Next time you'll knock them
I hope so.

The fishing is tough all of a sudden, I believe it has to do with the barometer.
@@FCPFishing I think you're right. Even when I was picking them up on sonar, they just wouldn't take anything I'd throw directly to them.
