@@p344y i don't think it's ego. Either they're so deeply thinking about their game that they're not even hearing the fans, or they have the same shyness/modesty many others have. Often, hitters will get curtain calls, and they'll just stay in the dugout.

I’m a jays fan. I enjoy watching the yanks highlights. I love the pop off the bats, and seeing what we are up against. Man we don’t have a chance. My team doesn’t have an identity, good on ya yanks.
Jays front office made mistakes trades and signings can’t believe they had Marcus semian tescor gueroell jr at once, good offensive players. I wish they were good too as I’m from canada but yanks and judge legendary szn made me become a fan of the doort

Stanton’s power is incredible. It’s like he’s playing ping pong . Flicks his wrists and the ball is instantly gone.
The internet is full of fans complaining about Stanton because he isn't a fast runner. When he's at the plate you have to watch. When all said and done his contract when it's over will have looked like a bargain.
Stanton is a power hitter but against good picthers he struggles to make contact and often chases random pitches

On a positive note for the M's, Rodriguez got booted from the #2 spot in the order - he responded to the challenge with another 0-4 & 2 K's (1-16 in the series with 5 K's). Mariners hitters with another embarrassing performance - 12 K's and a 3 hit shutout. While every M's fan should be happy with the split, they easily should have lost the series and are clearly an inferior team. Mgmt needs to find some hitters and/or a new batting coach. Go M's!

They got shutout this game but the rest of the series I thought they showed a lot tenacity and grit in all aspects of the game. And I say this as a Yankee fan.

The Yankees are now (36-4) when Judge and Stanton both homer in the same game.
Goal was 2-2 in New York and we got that. Getting greedy with a series win would have been nice, but the Yankees do have the best record in the AL and this was a road series. Just finish off with a series win in Washington to meet the 5-5 goal of this tough road trip.
Not even a Yankees fan, but watched several games of the series, and Seattle should be thrilled with a split. Yankees look like an all-around much better team.

TBH, I would move Nestor to the BP to be the 6th starter when we play a long stretch. It's not that he's bad, just that he's being outpitched by all the other players. He can play from the bullpen, and he can play himself into the rotation if someone goes down. To me, he's the obvious #6 starter/long relief pitcher.

The Yankees bullpen was pretty bad this series. Only human, I suppose. I can’t get too mad at Holmes because he was due for a bad outing after being perfect all year.
Seattle has a few nice starters and one very good closer. But they need to trade for a hitter or two if they are still in contention by the trade deadline.

Mariners are entirely too dependent on their pitching. They have won exactly 1 game when their opponent scores 5 or more runs. They have won 4 games when their opponent scored 4 runs. The M's are currently ranked 29th out of 30 MLB teams in runs scored per game.

Gil is a great find. I was there when he pitched last Saturday and he was just lights out after struggling in the first. I hope he can keep it going. I think, when Cole comes back, Nestor can go to the pen as a long reliever/ spot starter. Go Yanks!!
