For folks not experienced with snow... NEVER run your car if your tailpipe is IN SNOW. You will die from carbon monoxide poisoning. Always shovel or scoop the snow away from your tailpipe so cm does not back up into your vehicle. If you slide off the road into a ditch, while waiting for a tow, always check the tailpipe before you run the engine to keep warm. Always carry warm socks, hats, mittens, boots, even food/water etc during cold months. I am from northern Minnesota and have survived seven decades, so pay attention.
Lived through the 1977 blizzard in Cleveland. Actually had to go to high school that day and we got let out at noon to find our own way home! Now they close school for two snowflakes. We had four and a half feet of snow last month east of Cleveland along Lake Erie.
Thank you Danno for showing us Florida people the snow.❄️☃️. Sure don’t miss shoveling the snow. It’s pretty but looks really cold there. Stay safe and warm
Use a battery powered leaf blower to clear the balcony and other areas you want clean BEFORE you walk on it and crush it down. Quick and easy to move tons of snow in a hurry.
So was good too see Jess with you! I was waving at the phone when she was waving..then it was like she can't see you hahahaha ...be safe and stay warm.. thanks for sharing with us ❤
Burr I just got the chills from looking at your outside pictures, 28 degrees here in Sugar Hill Ga. Your counter are full like mine I'm eating my sausage and eggs for breakfast , I going to make blueberry muffins today . Waiting for my new pots and pans to be delivered I love over easy eggs to with my favorite bread Danno where are your boots ? I would shoveling now if I was there. We owned a house back in the days we had a big deck and a long drive way so we had to get out early. The weather person said we will get a winter mix on Friday but it usually melts the next day. Thanks Danno and Jess for the video stay warm.
love those kinds of days. make a great breakfast, stay in, be warm, in 2019 where I live, we received 25 inches of snow in 20 hours, our neighborhood had crusty mountains of snow in front of all the driveways for a month. $2.49 for eggs - you're lucky!
I am in Indianapolis. Yesterday I took my golden lab out, and watched him run around like a little kid. I shoveled my porch and front steps, with a pathway. I don't think we got it as bad as you did. It is around 14° F here. I hope everyone is staying safe and warm. I enjoyed having coffee ☕ and breakfast while watching your video. 💞🫶💞
I was LITERALLY just now looking for your channel hoping that you uploaded a video while I was at work last night.(I work 3rd). While doing this, my watch sends a notification that you just did! Like WOW😲! You can't make this up.😄 Thanks for the update.👍🏾 You guys' snow storm is BREAKING THE INTERNET, and SOCIAL MEDIA btw!!! The driving, and sliding/crashing vehicles is crazy! We would love to see more footage of the aftermath. I think that's a great idea! Sending positive vibes from your newer Subbie in Wisconsin. Oh...and, I AM 1ST! Yay ME !!!🎉🎉 🙂🙃🙂
In the early 80's here in Colorado we were pounded with a huge snow storm, it was incredible. Many towns/cities lost power. We lost ours for six days and couldn't go anywhere because roads were buried. Luckily we have a fireplace and camping gear and had wood to burn. However, on the fifth day we ran out of wood. We had this old sofa and side chair in the basement that had a wood frame, got chopped up. A farmer with a big piece of equipment came and dug out little town. I will say that the neighbors were all out helping each other and trading food and supplies and gave each other support and checked on one another. All the kids of course had a grand time playing.
I’m in south suburbs of Chicago. We didn’t get any snow. A few flakes or dusting. I’m glad cause I don’t care for snow. I’m very scared to drive or walk in it as I am 67. Take care and be safe. The snow is pretty though and I’m sure we’ll get it soon enough. I’m ready for spring now.
Good morning snow looks beautiful yea i remember back in 1972 here in Augusta Georgia we got 14 inches we suppose to get some winter mix this week i like snow better than ice stay safe and warm God bless you both
I remember '78 😮 Hey there Danno! It's best to get the snow up while it's more fluffy. If it melts even only a little it will be heavier and harder to move when frozen overnight. So bundle up in black clothes and work while the sun is shining. Be safe out there!
I am not a fan of winter but your snow does look beautiful! We received lots of ice in southern Illinois. Many without power since Sunday evening due to downed trees and limbs. The linemen have done a fantastic job. Hundreds of linemen traveled in yesterday to help with the effort. Many local restaurants are offering free food to them. It’s a beautiful thing to see everyone coming together to help each other. Be safe everyone and stay warm! 🥰
Take care with your weather. As someone who has lived 30 miles outside Buffalo for over 35 years, I'm used to these storms but for someone not used to it it can be dangerous
I,live in Detroit, Michigan and the Snowstorms has bypassed, Chicago and Detroit. Usually, what Chicago gets and Detroit gets it. Up, here in Detroit, has been Very Cold 🥶 and The Lawns are Still Green 💚. I,was born in 1957,and I remember the Snowstorms of the 1960's and the 1970's.. I, have a feeling that, we're Going to a,Green Winter up here in Detroit. 9:03
Hello beautiful people so sorry about the snow it is 15 in in Manhatten Ks still digging out on Tues everyone has a long weekend stay warm love your videos so informative Blessings ❤
Enjoyed seeing the snow from the conforts of my southern location. That's about as close as I want to be to snow, 😆. For those in your area who can get out with their vehicles soon, please take a bag of food to your local churches, synagogues or mosques as many of them open their doors for warmth and safe havens to the local homeless community and the elderly population. Most houses of worship will know of those who are shut-ins or in need during these weather conditions. Be Safe, Be Well, Be Warm, and be generous to those who are truly in need during difficult times.
Nothing like a good bacon and egg breakfast while it snows outside!!! As a northeasterner my advice...if it starts sleeting/raining...finish up the shoveling as fast as possible! SO much harder to get up if it gets too heavy or crusts over the top. Good luck!!
Northern Illinois and hoping for some snow. My husband and I helped with dropping off food at the food pantry. We also helped the church store. Prayers sent your way to everyone.........
Great video. Very well done. Excellent narrative. Now, you deserve all that snow in the Big Red Machine City. Get some exercise shoveling that ice. I live in nice, bright, and sunny Texas near Fort Worth. Weather modification is getting er done. I'm near 80 and remember the Michigan blizzard of February 1967 on our family farm. Snow was as high as the top of telephone poles. Oh, you younguns don't remember telephone poles. From a drafted, disabled, and 1968 Republic of Vietnam combat veteran.
Thanks Danno & Jesse..I was so hoping Jesse could make a lil ☃️ on the balcony in the chair, if it would pack down enough..Stay, Safe, & warm...We got snow!!! ❄☃️Central Eastern Virginia...I'm tucked up in the woods..Still have power..As far as the Phone, I've got a SOLAR CELLPHONE CHARGER..GREAT SOUTHERN EXPOSURE..So plenty sun..Works great..Used a few times....🧣🥶❄☃️🧤🔥
You talked about Sam's baked beans n brisket in a previous video...I bought it. Major points from hubs he loves it! Thanks. I never would have even considered it or even seen it!
Hi, Jess! I show up for bacon, too!😋 I live about 65 miles north of ya, and we only got about 5 inches. But maybe the storm coming Friday will add some more. I love snow, but my husband doesn't, because he drives a semi. Yes, '77 was bad, too, I remember. Soooo cold! We thought we'd been sent to Siberia! I was 13 in January of '78, and quite enjoyed being home for an entire month, and playing board games and cards with my mom! That was the only 2 days (the 2 days following the blizzard) my dad EVER missed a day of work! He was a super good dad & provider!❤ As for this storm, my husband got up at 4AM Monday morning and dug out our very long driveway so he could go to work. It was all powdery snow. We were thankful there was no ice for us, or much wind. Stay safe and warm.
Shovel every few hours. Once ice gets on to the snow it's very hard to get out. We had 3 feet a few years ago. You learn the best way to get yourself dug out.
10 inches on Westside of Indy. I shoveled yesterday for 2 hours and I'm still not done. I'm too old for this!! But my cat can't handle the shovel, so it's up to me 🤣
My hubby and I shoveled on and off most of the day to clear our long driveway. Not enough room at the bottom of the hill to get 2 cars in and out. I told him we will need to invest in some sort of snowblade as we won't be able to shovel like this for much longer. I'm already feeling sore, probably will feel worse tomorrow.
I'm using the snow time (even though I'm retired) to clean out and reorganize under my kitchen sink, bathroom sinks and cleaning out medicine cabinets, and the cat's toy box. I have about 9" here in Indy. Good to see the lady of the house!
Thanks for the snow pics !! A beautiful winter wonderland ❄️. I feel bad for the Cardinals & Robins it being so cold . I hope it’s not too hard digging out of the snow. You two are so cute ❤

It's still cold here in Florida. It's like 31 degrees
Use a battery powered leaf blower to clear the balcony and other areas you want clean BEFORE you walk on it and crush it down. Quick and easy to move tons of snow in a hurry.

We got about 10-11 inches in Circleville, Ohio. This is the winter I remember when I was a child. I agree with Jess, I LOVE the snow!⛄️

Living in Minnesota, we haven't had snow in several years. I'm jealous and miss it.
Good Morning Jessica, and Danno.

Same here in Virginia. No temperature over 30 for next 2 weeks 😮last year the salt trucks ran out of salt.

The upside of all that snow is the moisture will be good for the ground for farmers this summer

YIKES! Snow!!! Please keep it there! Stay warm!!
Shovel every few hours. Once ice gets on to the snow it's very hard to get out. We had 3 feet a few years ago. You learn the best way to get yourself dug out.
The storm missed us here in central Iowa by just miles. Thank goodness.
What a sweet couple........No robins in Mansfield yet.👀
10 inches on Westside of Indy. I shoveled yesterday for 2 hours and I'm still not done. I'm too old for this!! But my cat can't handle the shovel, so it's up to me 🤣

Happy New Year! Michigan here; that mess missed us. I enjoy your content. You two stay safe!
Thanks for the snow pics !! A beautiful winter wonderland ❄️. I feel bad for the Cardinals & Robins it being so cold . I hope it’s not too hard digging out of the snow. You two are so cute ❤
Thank you!!
Hello from Oklahoma. We have a lot of geese here. i love watching them.
I'd love to send a picture of my snow!
Its so pretty. Glad its not where I am. I like it to come and go
