Thank you so much... very well structured and explained.. for a person like me after taking a long break and getting to know the updated versions it is very easy to understand.
Hello, I assume you are asking why duplicate the existing value when you split a feature. That will depend on your situtation and why you might split a feature. If you split a feature in order to create an intersection for a new feature coming in then the value might remain the same. So duplicating the existing value would make sense. Hopefully this makes sense. BTW I was the one that made this video originally but I am no longer with this company.
Hello Dear Great video and great channel. I have been worked in database and GIS (geographical Information System) related fields in the past 6 years. Now I am studying master's degree in computer science. In the next month I have to submit my proposal for my masters thesis. I am very interested in designing and implementing cadastral geodatabase. Would you please help me Where can I get related research papers? Thank you for time.
I am sure Esri has several especially focused around their Parcel Fabric. If you do a google search on Parcel Fabric, something will popup. I would also check with the International Association of Assessing Officials (IAAO) at iaao.org/. They will also have information about cadastral data. From there, I am sure many of the professional surveying organizations would also be great sources such as SSSI (sssi.org.au/) in Australia.
time stamps for my own notes - to be updated as needed

This was really well explained, thank you!
Glad it was helpful!
So great! Thank You sir!
thanks sir, have a question, is it possible to make subtypes in more than one field in the same feature class? tried and didn't work
No, a subtype can only be based on a single integer field for each feature class or table.
@@eGISAssociates thanx, it's a shortage in a database form!
Sadly contingency values are not compatible with Portal for ArcGIS. Your video was very helpful thank you.
Glad you found the video helpful.
