    We are going to move from an ArcGIS Server environment to an Enterprise environment. This video made it much simpler to understand how everything interacts with each other and what is needed to complete the upgrade. Thank you so much for sharing.

    I came from an organization that had ArcGIS Server and moved into an organization that has a Federated Portal with Server. This video was very helpful to understanding my new organization's architecture.

    We are trying to move from ArcGIS to ArcGIS Pro and also changing to Enterprise environment. And this video has helped me a lot in understanding the concepts. Thank you, Shawn.

    Having just switched jobs, going from a standalone GIS Server to an Enterprise system, this was a good start to understanding the concept differences. Thank you.

      Many seem to be moving that way. But this is still a powerful solution and good pairing with ArcGIS Online

    Thank you for this excellent video. I've sat through many ESRI UC presentations about this and I work with Enterprise on a daily basis, but I still learned a few things. Sometimes it helps to see/hear things described from an alternative perspective. I especially appreciated your explanation of the ports and network traffic routing. I'm taking a screenshot of your diagram and hanging it on my office wall, alongside our own Enterprise architecture diagram.

    Thank you for this very helpfiul presentation. It is very useful and I believe clearly decribes the parts of ArcGIS Enterprise.
    I realise you are trying to keep this diagram simple - but you have omitted the fact that the Portal does not talk directly to the Datastore - the Server is responsible for storing and publishing the Datastore content as a hosted service that is referenced by the Portal (just like the AGOL representation. You do show this when showing the url's, but the diagram is a little misleading.

    I have 2 layers (A, B) which has relationship by storing object id of layer A in layer B field. by using REST API can i get a collection of layer A with related records of layer B?

    • @shawnsspotlightongis
      @shawnsspotlightongis  11 месяцев назад

      Relationships are possible, but not an easy task and haven't worked on it. I recommend keeping it simple in Survey 123, OR use Field Maps which is more native to the Esri ecosystem and can do more with the geodatabase.

    what tools do you mean yo can traffic items that's been used at items database ?
    i think you mean by this , adding items directly without being hosted like addding images , pdfs ..etc.

    • @shawnsspotlightongis
      @shawnsspotlightongis  Год назад

      Not sure I understand the question. The items database is just basically a file explorer if that is what you are asking.
