May I suggest you to put in more chewing toys, as well as more stuff to fill in some of the open space? Hamsters love to be as sheltered and hidden as they can be, since they’re prey animals! Otherwise great job on building a bigger enclosure, I’m sure 🥜 loves it!

Me too. If I see someone buying a small plastic hamster enclosure from a shop, I actually go up and explain to them (in a nice way) that they are not suitable. I dont care, as a hamster parent I feel its my duty to save hamsters from these awful plastic prisons.

Importamt: Don't give your hamster the food in a bowl instead of scattering it all over the litter and enclosure, so he has to look for it first (yes, he will find it! hamsters have a very good nose) this gives the hamster a job. By the way, your enclosure looks very nice and it's really fun to watch peanut
I honestly still prefer to put their food in a bowl. I like to see exactly what my hamster takes out of his bowl, because I think it's important to know if your hamster eats enough of everything. That way I can see and act quickly when something may be wrong / when he's leaving out one specific thing. I do scatter his food and treats from time to time. Whatever you do, scattering or putting the food in a bowl, both have their cons and pros. It's mostly just what you prefer and what you think is the best for your hamster. c:

me hamsters it doesn't work though, I did this with mine and she lost a lot of weight, I put it back in her bowl and shes fine again. They may have already tried it and it not work. The best way to feed a hamster is the main mix in a bowl so the hamster knows where their food will always be and be less stressed, then scatter sprays and seeds around so they can forage if they wish but don't have to to survive.
Really great tank upgrade, hopefully the extra space and enrichment will mean Peanut loses some weight. She's about double the size she should be. Maybe less of the high fat seeds? She's very cute though.

진짜 키우자고 마음먹은 생명 책임감있게 이것저것 알아보시면서 잘 키우시는 모습이 너무 보기좋네요..! 솔직히 사놓은 물건이 아까워서 이것저것바꾸기가 선뜻 쉽진 않으셨을텐데..조금이라도 좋은 환경에 키우고 싶으시다는 그 마음이 정말 휼륭하셔요! 추가로 나중에 2주마다 대청소하는게 번거롭다고 생각되시면 그냥 베딩 20~30cm높이로 가득 채워넣고 1달에 한번씩 위부분 3cm만 걷고 3~4달에 한번씩 많이 쓰는 구역위주로 베딩 반정도 치워주시면 치우기도 번거롭지도 않고 땅콩이도 나름대로 굴도 길게 마음대로 만들고 청소로 스트레스도 덜 받고등등 더 좋아할것같아요.! 진짜 베딩이 많으면 많을수록 그양만큼 청소도 확실히 덜하고 비용도 계속 많은양을 갈아주는 비용이나 한번에 많이 사고 쌓아주는 가격은 기간으로 보면 같지만 번거로움은 덜해져 서로 스트레스안받는거 같아요!
