That’s a very interesting video and could not agree more. Last summer, I placed a deposit on a MC20 Cielo fully loaded msrp 368k. The dealer seems completely disorganized, It’s been a real nightmare dealing with the dealer. Fast forward 8 months now Feb 2023 and my car is to be ready Nov 2023. That car rips man🏁 I have done a ton of homework for a new track car. I pick mine up this summer. A few people told me I’m crazy to take this over a GT-3 Cup Car.
I never was a Maserati fan but the car do look amazing! Think this is a test for them to see what people complain about and in the next generation (if there is one) they will correct the issue!
My problem with that is that if you're right they should not make their most premium product in years something they expect their top customers to beta test. Get it right the first time for that dollar.
@@ExoticCarHacks true that but you know it's the best way to milk money out of costumers... I’ve seen your ads & the algorithm provided this MC20 review, so I decided to watch & listen. TBH, I like your blunt approach. It’s different than most RUclips/Industry reviews (at least this one is). Most reviewers aren’t saying the things that you’re saying or approaching vehicles from the angle that you’re approaching. Kelly’s Blue Book or Car & Driver, used to have a similar approach, although not close to what you’re doing/saying. Although I’m not familiar with the Maserati, I find myself nodding in agreement. A dealer paying $17k over sticker for this car, a car that could lose $100k in 2 years…that has to be nerve wrecking. Good analysis & video. Liked & subscribed.
Porsche GT4RS Curious question. My GT4RS arrived, $203 MSRP where’s my value 8 months from now, and 18 months from now with low mileage? 6” of snow here!! ain’t driving it till May.
Please explain how do you sell this car over sticker prise where i live "Switzerland" you can buy this car for the sticker price and no one would pay over it.
Just worked on one of these, and agree. Inside feels like any other toyota/hyundai etc. With alcantara wrapped around stuff. I would never guess over 200k unless it has some amazing track performance or something.
Ya, my thought was, the car wasn't exciting enough compared to the market. I don't see why I would get this car over 570s. Actually I still think the 570s Beats this car. This car either needed a lower price tag with an even higher spec model above it or it needed a way more exciting engine
I drive an Alfa Romeo 4c. I wonder if Maserati pulled the same crap with the MC20 that they did with the 4C. I.e., spent way too much on the carbon tub and engine, and cheaped out on the interior to maximize profits
Ok I own all 3 cars I was looking to get 1 myself I have a Bentley Maclean and maserati granturismo sport so my next either mc20 are Lamborghini hurricane thanks for video ...

@@sufficetosay Not really.... People who have driven it seem to think its really fast, but theres not much about this car in general i feel. Not even very many reviews and zero owner reviews.
So do think they can give this car a 3yr run - 2026 and improve on the Quality of it and keep the price point where it is by adding some quality touches here and there to Compete with others in this price point. The reason i say that becuzs it's a great looking car one of the best out there as for as design they hit it out the park just need a little top Notch quality on Certain things.
Maserati,mclaren,ferrari..3 brands quality is very bad..3 of them brokes down so easily you spent most of yout time at repair shop.instead of driving on roadss 😂...stay away from 3 brand..😂😅
So basically the mc20 is a super bmw i8 It’s probably worth $100k to $200k Sold!!!!😊 let me get it with the carbon fiber options. *whispers* I don’t wanna look poor. Lol 😆
What you say is the reason why the used market for the Masarati is bad. Therefor they don's hold value much, therefor PPL with money see it as bad investment. As long as they choose to stay in this loop, the cars will not get better quality and sales stay linear... If they going to make revised special editions that tackle these "problems" they will not advance. Then the loop continue.
Kudos for this review, you called a spade a spade. I test drove this in ’22 and my immediate reaction was that this car carries an artificial price premium that can’t be justified by car’s quality or any kind of supercar feel. It’s just a high margin product, that doesn’t deliver on its promise. It feels generic, like they purchased a bunch of different stuff from Chinesse manufacturers and put it all together, making it totally soulless. Sound-wise it’s close to high powered turbo Ford Focus than entry level supercar like Audi R8..
I like Maserati for years just never invested, I lost interest for awhile because like Volvo, they didn't do any major upgrades. When I saw the MC20 I was crazy about the body and engine but the exhaust sound needs help. The interior irritated me because it did look cheap. I see a lot of people customize their MC20 but I can't see purchasing a $250,000 having to do major interior upgrade. I'm waiting another year to see where the price goes.
@@ExoticCarHacks I love this review video, I've probably watched it 10 times. But in no way is the interior of the C8 horrible, its absolutely gorgeous and miles ahead of the MC20 interior.
I think these are first world problems. When you think of Maserati you don’t think of it’s top speed, the exterior speaks for itself. That’s exactly what they did here for a fair price. Not every car needs to be as equal as other cars. Look at Dodges interior vs sales. This car deserves a little more respect cause I thought it was a million dollar car when I first seen it.
Good detailed review. The MC12 is one of my favorite cars of all time. This, the 992 911 and Lexus LC500 are probably my favorite car designs now. It breaks my heart that the MC20 build quality and fit/finish is trash like the “lower end” Maserati Stellantis/Chrysler parts bin cars (Ghibli, Levante, etc).
I am blessed and own an amazing factory matte black Huracan. When the MC20 was first announced I thought it was the best looking car in the industry but didnt pull the trigger for the fear of how bad Maseratis depreciate and the build. I test drove one of these twice, on the streets and highway; I dont have the same opinion as reviewer. I thought the build quality was unbelievably good. You must see the car in person, the looks are amazing, one of the best in the industry. It is unbelievably/surprisingly fast. Him complaining about the door handle I dont understand. Porsche GT's (unbelievable cars) that cost the same, if not more, have pretty much the same thing and no one complains about it. The interior is one that you're going to love it or hate it. I like the minimalistic look of the interior, some may not. Some exotic car interiors are just way to busy on the interior. While driving fast speed do you really want to be distracted by a whole bunch of buttons, I don't think so. The sound is the sound, do you really expect a V6 to sound like a V10; I would hope not. Overall I still found the sound pleasing. In closing tho, I will admit that Maserati built the MC20 to change their image and try to rid themselves of exactly how this reviewer feels about them; I'm not sure the MC20 will do that but I still do believe its an amazing car. In regards to depreciation, only time will tell. But lets face, almost any car you buy and drive off the lot depreciates. I think most dont buy are car thinking they are going to make a prophet when they sell. The last three years was just an absolute fluke and we wont see that again in our life time. God Bless you all and enjoy what ever car you like and can afford!!
Maserati owners get painted as status chasing fools a lot. It’s a rough wrap that’s not always deserved. My daily driver is a Levante Modena s because I don’t wanna be another Range Rover sport, cayenne, glc , g wagon, or x5. It’s nice to just have something different
I like this car because it's a fresh look on and exotic car. I would purchase this car over the competition simply because lamborghini, etc have very little full updates. They all look the same for the past 6 years. Nothing fresh about them. I do like your reviews as a person whom had and have many exotics to compare it to. I still like the look it is fresh and not a repeat of the hum drum exotic look. For as function. I don't need a car that wants to do 200 mph every day but has the capability of doing so.
They definitely missed an opportunity to have something special. It will be a nice car at that 150K-160K range, and hopefully in a year or 2 someone will have found a way to tune it and make it bit more exciting. It looks so good and has a nice presence. Thank you for another honest review!
I stopped watching when he said the steering wheel is straight out of an Abarth 'cause he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. It's the same wheel of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio bacause originally this car should've been an Alfa Romeo.
If I’m looking for a track day car I’m getting this I think it’s great I like the look and 620 hp is plenty and I’d drive this over the Ferrari and McLaren v6’s!🧠🤯🔫
This car reminds me of the LFA, cool car but disgustingly over priced. The LFA had a 375k base msrp and that’s why they didn’t sell worth a shit when they were new.
My 2019 Infinity QX 80 Limited has an LED rear-view mirror so it's nothing "new" or exclusive to Maserati. And while the Ford GT is exclusive, it didn't put Ferrari "out of business."
Compared this to a Mercedes GT - I know which I bought and it was for this reason - for once in my life my head ruled my heart - I so wanted to put a deposit down on the Maser but the test car was broken before I even got to sit in it
Always funny when a random fast food man tries to explain style and quality to Italians.

I honestly prefer my yellow mc20 over my Ferrari 488 🤣
Thank you for your review. I get my Notte Saturday. We'll see how it feels and then maybe get out of it in 6-12 months for a small profit.
I had a Mas and I had the same issue with the buttons. All of the buttons were the exact same as you can find in a Mazda 3
Brilliant Review,PJ your commentary style is bar none keep it up!
Great video PJ! This is why the Corvette C8 Z06 is a bargain supercar. Even the C8 Stingray sounds better than this MC20.
wait till you see my review of that next week. will make you cry. Its the worst car ever made
@@ExoticCarHacks OMG PJ really? I'm on the waiting list for the C8 Z06.
Except it's a corvette

It Does have ceramic brakes. And the reason doors are carbon is because whole tub is made by dallara, plus f1 engine tech. Exterior is supercar heaven . You are SO right about
Interior man, I saw the leather seats, total trash .lol it to bad they didnt go the lambo route with interior. Massive missed opportunity. That being said, I don’t think you really drove his car because it’s very very fast
He's got a point about that mode selection knob. The 2023 knob looks so much better 🤔
What is the best sport car under 300k that's holding value ?
This Car looks incredible.
What a wonderful video..!! I'm subscribing..!!
Each generation you do little updates until you nail it and then watch all the sub genre or the same will come out! Just look at Lamborghini with the hurrican or Aventador...

Porsche GT4RS Curious question. My GT4RS arrived, $203 MSRP where’s my value 8 months from now, and 18 months from now with low mileage? 6” of snow here!! ain’t driving it till May.
If you paid MSRP you'll be fine for 18 months with low miles and a good spec.
Best Car Review I have seen in a while ! New to your Site !!! Great Job !!! PS !! X Maserati Owner
I really wanted to hear your opinion on this car because I thought it would disappoint. Probably not for the right reason though.
Ya, my thought was, the car wasn't exciting enough compared to the market. I don't see why I would get this car over 570s. Actually I still think the 570s Beats this car.
This car either needed a lower price tag with an even higher spec model above it or it needed a way more exciting engine
I owned a 570s. My MC20 is quicker with way less turbo lag than the 570s.
The "mansory" version of these do these justice! Just brilliant, 720hp, wide body, carbon everywhere! Also, an interior to match.
21:16 is exactly how it panned out. I predict a $110k market for this upcoming (maybe not the Cielo)
My SMG-II in my old M3 had a lovely click but plastic paddles. Changed them for longer aluminium ones for the win

Can you do a review on the 765lt spider the white with blue interior pls🙏🏼
would love to hear your opinion about mclaren gt!

Comparing Ford and Maserati was so helpful. So much clarity! 😂 👍
Trashing the car...maybe he works for Porsche....
They sell about 1300 mc20 a year worldwide. The price will go down a lot in a few more years. Right now is 170k already
I drive an Alfa Romeo 4c. I wonder if Maserati pulled the same crap with the MC20 that they did with the 4C. I.e., spent way too much on the carbon tub and engine, and cheaped out on the interior to maximize profits
Great honest review. Next the C8?!?!!
Coming soon

I searched everywhere to try to get this cars quarter mile time and I can find nothing..... I can't find a video of the MC20 road racing against anything. I don't understand it.
I also have been searching and find it really weird that there are zero videos of the MC20 drag racing any other cars.
@@c8vegas Can you even find any real life acceleration numbers? I can't.

The reason i say that becuzs it's a great looking car one of the best out there as for as design they hit it out the park just need a little top Notch quality on Certain things.
you already got the price right haha. They're already cheap
$160's-170's all day right now even with low miles

Great review and very objective; well done Sir
That steering wheel and paddles are straight from the update Alfa
So basically the mc20 is a super bmw i8
It’s probably worth $100k to $200k
Sold!!!!😊 let me get it with the carbon fiber options. *whispers* I don’t wanna look poor. Lol 😆
He is trying to convence that the MC is worst than Lambo. 😂
Then the loop continue.
loved ur comparsion of the cup to masseratti.
I can't wait! Looks great, reminds me of the mc12
Is this lower quality than a Corvette C8 inside?
No, the C8 is horrible
@@ExoticCarHacks 😂
$250,000 car needs a tune for excitement?
I stopped watching when he said the steering wheel is straight out of an Abarth 'cause he clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. It's the same wheel of the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio bacause originally this car should've been an Alfa Romeo.
The steering whell is from the Alfa Romeo Giulia
If I’m looking for a track day car I’m getting this I think it’s great I like the look and 620 hp is plenty and I’d drive this over the Ferrari and McLaren v6’s!🧠🤯🔫
