- We’re surrounded by motherboards and hotends in the LAST episode of our coverage of ERRF/3D Printopia 2023! Luke at @bigtreetech5117 shows us the most powerful motherboards, and Dan at @SliceEngineering displays the COOLEST hotends!
Stick around at the end for a brief appearance from Jason at LDO! We didn’t have a chance to interview him this year, but we caught up with him right as the show was winding down.

Great coverage, Grant. Thanks for showing us the sights even though I couldn't manage the sojourn. And props to Slice Engineering, they do some great work and open-source some of it to boot.
Thank you!
Great coverage too brother. You make me want to attend.
Thanks!
Awesome stuff 🙂
Thanks!
You are a genuine, real person and it shows in the way you carry yourself. That's rare and any honest person should see that.
My two cents. It's not worth much but I'm a good judge of character I'm told.
Thank you!
took 40min to work internet sux here think a ship pulled a plug or so but ill go watch now :)
oh no! Good luck!
Slice is so awesome
I finally got my mosquito!
Running mosquito on my v2.4
Copperhead on my mini and copperhead on my switchwire
They really are the best hotends
I want to try them out on more machines! We will have to see what we can put one on!
@@3DMusketeers never had a clog!
noted!
Grant.....Voron
time.. time..
Some really interesting products. Really liking the hot swappable hotends. Did any of them say they were looking at being able to swap hotends by the machine rather than by hand?
nope, but if it can be done by hand, it can be done by machine.
what giant 3d printer was that shown in the slice booth
off the top of my head, I do not remember!
It was the IOFX Fabricator upgraded with Mosquito Prime
Hmm. I wonder if vez is the guy he is talking about.
yeah, no clue there
The mosquito primes are made solely for Ivan Miranda and his giant 3d printers.
ha ha he would definitely benefit from that!
If anyone wants to help someone with a small non-profit profit endeavor with any parts or free beta testing and help our first responders and their families deal with ptsd I will not say no to anything. I say this humbly with all honesty and anything will help, even nozzles. Sorry Grant, I'll stop asking. I'm trying to decide what to call the charity.
I would not worry about the name, I would worry to make sure you can flow within the 501(c)3 designation and get that paperwork rolling.
@3DMusketeers I'm in Canada on a pretty cushy pension but my wife is going g to put it in her name and she's pretty high up in the government so I have a whole plan mapped out.
I'll tell you all about it when I get my license. I'm not going for any tax exemptions as I don't plan on drawing a salary and I'm concerned wirh getting another 20 or so rcs and designing the park. I'll be in for 22k abouts by the time it opens in late April after it dries up and I'm going to sink a bunch of money in prizes for people who are invited and pay a small fee to participate. If I can help one family or person then I've taken a step to making the world a better place. I'm also going back to university and taking math courses I don't have to go towards getting a proper engineering degree. I have a third of the credits.
I've been working like a dog building and buying rcs plus accumulating stock. I'm going to offer other services as well to be more liquid around the opening time. If I fail then I'll sell what I don't need and offer my facility to anyone who wants and donate merchandise and money to the local crossroads club house that I'm a member of. I'd kill for another printer and pair of hands. Qidi burned me once when I tried to get the old Xmas for the local makerspace. They led me on then said no. All I asked for was a discount and they said yes. The local space is mismanaged and I fear I'll be at a liquidation auction there next year. I was donating alot of money and time to them but they were in over their heads and too proud to accept the help they asked for. It's a long story. Sorry I ramble. Overtired lately.
Stay strong! Good luck!
@3DMusketeers ive done my research and I can be a club to get it off the ground as it's 2k to get the license. If it's deductible though ill do it the day I do taxes which will be 2 months before I 'open' for lack of a better word. I'm honest to a fault and I don't expect any company to help me out, there's nothing in it for them. Most companies prefer a bad review to good will toward their brand. In business classes in university we put a dollar value on goodwill but there's already too many people with their hands out for expensive background ornaments that eventually turn into trash. A little good karma coming back my way would sure help my internal pid function. Around here people see the ilness and not the ideas irrespective of my high iq and determination. I digress. Your video today was awesome man. You're an awesome entertainer.
Once it is all set up, send me the info, I will mention it in a video or something :)
