    I'm glad I'm not the only one who has had to use a bottle jack to break a wheel loose. What a pain. Loved the video. It was nice to see you guys working on a truck as opposed to the normal 'showcasing' videos. Your video series building Jack Mayer's truck inspired me to buy my own Volvo 780 for RV duty. Keep up the good work!

      Hi Stan,
      When the hands are dirty I don't always think to grab the camera and press record. Thanks for taking the time to post a comment. I am sure you are enjoying your Volvo 780! Safe travels.

    What do you think about the new Mack and Volvo for HDT rving?If I had the money I'd buy either brand new and have you converted it with a good solar system and gray and fresh water tanks.😅

      Hello Mark,
      Both the Mack and the Volvos are outstanding candidates. I am getting more and more requests for boondocking gray and fresh water systems too!
      Thanks for watching and commenting Mark.
      Regards,
      Gregg

    At this rate, it's a matter of time before NTSB requires mandatory DOT inspections on RV Haulers in the US!

      Hello Dr. Tom!
      Great to hear from you. As you know, we already build every one of our RVHauler to meet all US and Canadian DOT standards. Every one of my rigs gets a very formal 4 page thorough federal inspection done before they leave the yard for our peace of mind.

      Sorry!!! I should have clarified and included that! I meant to use rv haulers generically and not specific to your company!
      I meant to say that there are a lot of sketchy backyard fabricators out there that don't have the proper skillset and knowledge to match or exceed DOT standards! At RV Haulers, you can rest assured that the job will be done right! ...the first time!

    Wow, you've had a week. It is awesome to see someone building something for their customers the way they would build it for their family.
    Nice looking gray truck in the background!

    Stupid question time. Can a green APU be used as a 50 amp generator for power to the RV along with all the normal rig battery charging, climate control stuff?

    • @rvhaulers
      @rvhaulers  7 месяцев назад +1

      Hello Chief,
      Yes, we can draw from the battery based APU systems on the RVHauler. However we have to be careful to do some math. As you know, drawing 50 amps from a moderate battery reserve depletes them VERY fast. You need a significant bank of batteries in order to provide any long term power. However we have the weight carrying capacity to build you the storage space to keep a large reserve!

    Can you add water and Grey/black tanks? So when boondocking we can care more fresh water and have a spot to off load the black/grey?

    • @rvhaulers
      @rvhaulers  7 месяцев назад

      Hi Killian - YES we can do that!

    Hi Gregg, I've noticed that you transform Volvo's, do you work on other brands? I am a new subscriber, and may have missed the other brands is why I'm asking.

      Hi Brent,
      We are really good at finding things to fix. We are a bit like tax auditors - we keep looking... looking... but the key difference is when we have looked everywhere, and fixed everything, we STOP looking.

      Hi Kenneth,
      We all jumped to it (kinda like the folks jumping over the wall at Nascar) and got it sorted out fairly quickly.
