Can you imagine losing your home and everything you own, and fleeing for you life, on new years eve? God bless these people.
It's a good story for them to tell during future new year celebration
Oh my. No can't imagine. 😭

My wife and I are from Paradise CA. We lost everything in the 2018 Camp Fire and came close to losing our lives. I know what the people of this Colorado town are going through now and what's ahead of them. My heart goes out to all the victims of this terrible fire.
God bless you!❤
How long did it take before the insurance companies paid out?
@@Playsinthedirt, it is no joke. Insurance companies typically do everything they can to keep from paying out.
I was rear-ended in a car accident and left for dead. I spent 3.5 years in rehab and spent another five year collecting and only got medical bills paid. I had over a million dollars in lost wages and didn't even get enough to cover all the medical. Republicans have protected the insurance companies to the point that a victim cannot get fair compensation.
@HAPPY TO BE ALIVE It is my understanding that the people of paradise NEVER got paid from their insurance companies. I know many were not allowed to rebuild. That's because they wanted people off of that land. That's why they burned them out. It will be the same thing with Boulder.
I'm wondering if the few houses that are still standing have smart meters.. I would imagine all of the houses that burned down to absolutely nothing had smart meters. Grass fires don't typically burn metal vehicles down vehicles down to nothing, and large 2 and 3 story homes down to their concrete foundations.
@@Playsinthedirt, I love conspiracy theories but in this case the fires flashed across the dry grass land and burned over 500 homes. If you have not been near a forest fire or an open range fire than I cannot explain the science behind it. There is no conspiracy here in Colorado.
We in America are taught to help each other in our time of need. When Republicans vote to defund disaster relief it is against our values.
As an Oregonian & wildland fire fighter i know how devastating these fires can be.. Hope these families get the help they need

I live in Boulder... quit building subdivision where houses are stacked right on top of eachother.. the fire wouldn't have decimated those neighborhoods If there was more room between the homes. The fire jumped from one house to the next, and on and on.
Left there 20 years ago because my heart broke watching the prairie decimated with 'development'
Your comment speaks so strongly of ignorance that I can’t waste my energy replying. Then again, you live in Boulder so I will consider the source.
I figured out how to build a home or building that is fire and tornado proof for cheaper than any 3 homes put together maybe cheaper than that. It can be made to float in case of a flood also.
My idea uses concrete but only as a coating. Take a look at the video. The home or structure doesn't have to be a perfect dome. The idea is to not have flat walls though. Cars are not boxes for a reason. That reason is aerodynamics.
Instead of making the dome out of clothe or plastic make it out of Kevlar because its bulletproof. Most any projectile will not breech Kevlar.
Instead of filling the dome with air fill it with expanding foam insulation.
The framework i don't have figured out but i image something like a camping tent framework might work?
After the home/structure is up spray it with shortcrete which is basically spray on concrete.
To make the home float on water have the structure be able to slip off the infrastructure (plumbing and electrical). The home built on a concrete slab but not joined to the slab. The bottom of the house is made of a thick layer Styrofoam so when there is a flood the home will rise with the water. As the home rises it disconnects from the infrastructure and floats away. If this happens the home would need to be transported back to the owners slab and reconnected to infrastructure.

firstly we need to identify the problem which is "propaganda'' leading to brainwash, beating propaganda we should focus to reduce the failure rate of those who have entered the market
whenever I say I am into crypto people ask me to teach that. they think they can become masters in few minutes, its a job which needs your active participation. it took me months before I made some really profits which was accompanied by the help of a financial advisor.
I have heard investors making over $100,000 in profit within the space of 5 months, I would want that for myself. can your financial advisor guide me to that?
Jessica Meador Jones is the one guiding and handling my portfolio , within 6 months I was seeing a profits of over $37,000 in my portfolio, I wouldn't want to say much on RUclips comments though, but one thing is for sure and that is the crypto market is profitable if you are patient and under good guidance.

Sadly, this will happen again. 20 years ago, none of those houses were there because of high winds and dry tall grass. That's why they put wind farm's out there.

Some comments wonder (and blame) how much global warming is to blame for this. I've been trying to reply that the wind blew a powerline down which sparked the fires. is it common to have fire like that during the winter in Colorado?
Everyone needs to do way more research before buying or building homes. So many catastrophes were very preventable this past year.
That’s why I’m against having the houses so close to each other with super small lawns when most of the USA is uninhabited.
Traditional lawns are a poor option in semi arid regions with limited groundwater. Maybe less density with short prairie open space might be an alterative. Cool season lawns in similar areas can require up to 2-3 in a week.
