Pre-Mixed Cocktails: Mai Tai Challenge

Tasting every Pre-Mixed Mai Tai I was able to get my hands on. Some are good, some are bad, only 1 should be called a Mai Tai. We'll try Mai Tai's from: Bartender in a Box, On the Rocks (w/ Cruzan Rum), Heublein (w/ Meyers Dark Rum), Cutwater, Post Meridiem, Stirings Mai Tai Mix, and just for fun a Mai Tai flavored beer from Hi-Wire Brewing. And we'll compare them all against the original, a homemade Trader Vic's 1944 Mai Tai.

Definitely enjoyed this one… No, no, just no! And I’d really like to know who actually certifies the colors. 😂 On a more serious note, I am assuming Meridian makes other ready-made drinks; it would be interesting to find out if they also come close to hitting the mark. I've heard Post Meridiem makes a pretty good Old Fashioned in a can. If they respect the recipe and ingredients like they did with the Mai Tai, it might be worth trying in a future video.
