    Thank you for being bold enough to display on RUclips. I have only seen Jerry Sadowitz in person. Front row and captivated (not without its challenges as my wife discovered with Jerry). I still have the card with my initials as a souvenir, but didn't keep the orange! real magic defies understanding; don't think too hard, just believe.

      @@arthuritsI know I am 1 year late but to be fair it difficult to do that in this situation because for zarrow obviously you have to push the cards forward and push it in fast. The best zarrow shuffle I seen was Jason ladayne’s zarrow shuffle in the video arcane control. It’s at the end part of the video and even if you slow it down and zoom in it takes a few times to really see what he’s doing

    • @arthurits
      @arthurits  3 месяца назад

      Thanks for commenting! I'll do my best to check Ladayne's Zarrow shuffle.

    • @jimmy9152
      @jimmy9152 3 месяца назад +1

      @@arthurits Didn’t expect to get a reply that fast, personally, his video helped me a lot but obviously you can do more advanced versions where you strip out the middle packet so you don’t need to do two shuffles and have more cover. But it is not angle friendly and easily be seen if slowed down, another shuffle that you probably know too is push through and I think it is much better for situations like this one in the video. Other than that, your magic is not bad either, I definitely missed some of the things you did.

    • @arthurits
      @arthurits  3 месяца назад

      Sure, there are a lot of options such as push through, pull out et cetera. Having such technical resources at hand, makes it possible to choose the one that feels better for each context, although there might be some personal preference or bias towards a particular one.
      I really appreciate your sharing your thoughts!

    I love this channel, some really great performances and handlings, but I gotta say I've seen you some times do a thing that I really don't like, using techniques based of corporality and casualness, because I feel you do not have any casualness in your performances. Like in this video, when you do sato's triumph, it should look totally random and casual but you make it look quite precise, or in your performance of ascanio's ases, you make it look like you forget to put the leader ace in the T position so you can do a secret move, but it's doesn't look like a mistake because of the extremely clean and precise way you perform (and one might think, why does he put so much effort in making his videos so pristine if then he forgets to put the ace in the T position and doesn't decide to re-record it? it must be on purpose!). But you clearly are more experienced than me and as I said I love most of your work, so maybe this impression I got is wrong and I'm blinded by being over-analyzing.

    • @arthurits
      @arthurits  7 лет назад +3

      Thanks for sharing your thoughts. I couldn’t agree with you more. That’s one of the main cons of many magic videos posted on social media networks: they place the focus on the technical aspect, leaving aside the presentation (patter, persona, interaction with the spectators, etc.) which, undoubtedly, constitutes the central part of the magical experience. I wish I had the guts to record them as close as I perform (or performed) them in real life settings, but, alas, I just don’t dare (language barrier, shyness, amateurishness, privacy concerns, etc.)
      That’s why the videos on the channel are not intended to be a role model on how magic should be done. Instead, they are meant to inspire, if only a little, other aficionados and, on a more selfish note, to spur me to keep up practicing and studying magic.
      Though highly improbable, should we ever meet, I’d be more than glad to perform some life magic for you!
