You are thinking of The Harry Smith Anthology. (Just so people hear of it [it's GREAT!] without having to figure out how to look it up.) All those classic early 60s folk musicians took tons of songs from it.

To quote Indiana Jones "It belongs in a museum". If Henry Rollins is the museum in his lifetime, cool. I just hope private collectors do not get a hold of these items before something more permanent is found for the collection in the future.

    Right guy for the job!
He understands he shouldn't play that unique Raw Power acetate, but needs to play it once to have reference notes for something you can only know by playing it. People don't care how it sounds, so they don't mind it degrading.

I was at the The Cramps show at The Hall of Nations. I wished Henry had gotten Jeff Blooms collection of DC punk and rock flyers and singles. He also had a great collection punk from London 73-79. I think it all got either stolen or sent to the dump.

Both the MLK library in DC and the Performing Arts library at University of Maryland have excellent DC Punk archives.

kind of ironic how hard it is to score any of these title volumes out there ... they are a rare find it seems ... Amazon has Kindle versions but I don't think that would be an appropriate medium for this subject it seems, at least in my opinion.

I wish he had left the topic of abortion out of the conversation. He could have added another great story instead.
