Lando having no idea that it’s a hand made trophy that took 6 months of work to make. There’s a RUclips video of the process it takes to make one of them. The poor artist that spent all of that time making it perfect.
I love the idea though of using the Japanese repair technique that takes a broken thing and makes it more beautiful in the process of repairing. And now it has an interesting story behind it.
I mean I thought the trophy looked like utter shite tbh. If that took 6 months to make and I won it, I’d be insulted. Actually worth more bwoken

What is not discussed at all, is the many hundreds of hours of work of the craftsmen, who made the trophy. Herendi china has rich history, and hungarians are very proud of it. This trophy is quite special because of its physical appereance, and also a piece of hungarian culture. So I think the craftsmen deserve an apology from Lando Norris. Or at least dont make it a joke, like nothing happened.

Frustrating to think about the amount of work that went into those unique trophies for Lando to be so careless for the lols. It wouldn't have mattered if these trophies were just the run of the mill 'steaming poo' Santander logos or whatever, but the disrespect to the craftspeople behind these trophies in particular is off the charts.
