- Croydon Racing Developments recently moved into a 1600+m2 state-of-the-art facility. We headed there to talk to the new owners, Con and Omar, about CRD's history, its future and take a look around the new shop. We also see what services they provide and check out some of their builds.
These guys come as guys that have "paid their dues", learnt valuable lessons along the way, know their stuff, proud of what they do, know how to treat, keep and increase their customer base AND deserve every success that they achieve.
Best of luck to all of the CRD crew and your clients.
To Motive Video - one of the best shop tours and interview of one of the best shops and owner I have seen.
Thank you for supporting and presenting our local guys so well.
Just incredible dedication. World class setup. Got be one of the if not best setups in Australia.💪🏻💯
As a mechanic id love to work for a place like Croydon's. For the cars but for the legacy and to say I've been a part of it at one stage in my own life would be a dream come true!
Great to see CRD taking it to the next level, I had my s14 tuned there about 7years ago, Jim knew so much and such a well mannered person but, there service desk team particularly one blokes attitude made me not return or send repeat business, good too see them thriving under new ownership
That workshop is goals honestly ! 😍🙂 well done boys
Con's Racing Developments! The workshop is a massive step up. Congratulations guys! I'm looking forward to bring my car there for a tune with my new big turbo. 👍💪
wow seeing exvitermini clips really takes me back, i remember watching videos of it driving around sydney launching at the lights and being a menace, whoever was in the car was having so much fun and so was i just watching the videos and im having fun once again reminiscing haha jeez i loved that car
It’s a great incite into how far they have come. The reason why we hear and see so much about cars from this workshop. Truely it’s because they have a fully set up workshop that has definitely set the bar for any competition. Workshop and race shop separate and super clean. Professional top to bottom that’s definitely dedication 👍👍
Wow, I was lucky enough to visit you fellas last December and Andre took my friend and I through the shop. I remember being in awe then and he had mentioned moving in to the new space sometime soon and I guess that's now! The new facility looks AMAZING, I hope I get to visit again soon and bring some goodies back!
id love to see what theyd do with a swift GTI with todays tech. sick stuff
Great video that workshop looks mint . Its great when people put up workshop videos and you get to see what local companies are up to
Best workshop in the country in my eyes. I love working with the CRD team their communication is second to none, always willing to help and do not faulter from their high quality. Congrats Kostas, Omar, Andrej and the boys on the new workshop and above all thank you its been an absolute pleasure working with you.
Andrew Excellent intro Sound track ! Great video on their new workshop world class.
i hate talkin bout money but how much money went in that shop is crazy...very very well done, wish you the best!!
I want to live in that workshop.😍
Nice introduction to the owners and workshop :)
Workshop looks amazing, well done guys!
The shop is legit goals/ideal. Huge lot, huge space to work on cars. Engine building room is big
Excellent lay out for a workshop and clean as that’s in the same league as a nascar or f1 workshop and cleaner than a hospital surgery room very impressive
These guys are serious abt holding records. I like how they count things down to the day of holding the records. Thats meticulous for ya!
Looks like an absolutely amazing place!!! You Ozzies make the British like myself s bit jealous 😉👍 lol
I wondered what happened to CRD cos we haven't seen much of the recently on Motive but it's great to see what's been going on & looking forward to see what's to come 😃😃😃
What an amazing setup , I immediately laughed at my driveway and single garage lmao
Been following Drew Hall’s car for a while now. Easily my favourite GT-R. The exhaust note is something else. That and the car at 0:34 sound 3 steps above what RBs sound like with a 6boost manifold.
The amount of work time and development in those cars is amazing
I can’t even finish my SR20 build it’s only been 11 years but who’s counting ☹️
When i buy a GTR ill come to CRD for a tune
Jesus that’s an impressive setup
That is an incredible workshop 🤯🤯🤯
Such an awesome shop!
The workshop looks great kind of reminds me of precision automotive.
What a fantastic attitude but the owners!
fully sick mate
Damn epic shop
Great intro!
Wicked 💪
I wish all shops treated their customers cars like that !
Dollars mate 🤑
I could eat dinner off those floors, how'd you get them so clean?? 0.o
"Racecar section" oh my.
you can tell a lot about a team culture, by the enviroment they work in.
Soooo good!!!
Sat through the extended version waiting for a GTR700 update. Should have read the comments first. haha
my RB block is going there someday
Wow! That’s all!!!!
Congrats CRD!, btw Does CRD ship built engines to international customers?
They can, yes
Very nice😊
Sick
I think CRD needs to expand to brisbane ;)
Tell us about that EVO !!
HOOOOOO LEEEEEEEEEEE FUCK that is next level that place.
If im ever in a financial position to buy and tune a Skyline im buying / building it in Australia and shipping it to England
So is jim or rob a owner or co owner of crd ?
Well, Jim sold it so he's not and Rob is a customer.
Is that where Nitto ended up?
No. Thats a different yellow R34
straight swap you my modified GTST for a stock GTR? 😂 My god that workshop is incredible
Get a wrecked stagea an swap drivetrain into your gtst, i did that before i got my first gtr, saves you money, not time tho haha but atm gtr are $$$ an only increasing stagea are still cheap
👌
Its like a GTA mod shop in real life
And up go their prices
Why? More bays means more cars and more work, not higher rates. Why do people feel the need to comment negatively like this? Theyve invested a lot of their own time and money to offer a good service.
@@MotiveVideo youre right. And yes they have worked hard to get where they have. But someone has to pay for the expense outlay. Surely?
@@MotiveVideo these people probably wouldn't have taken their cars anyway...or they probably don't even have one 😂
i didnt realize i clicked on porn, jesus what a shop!
Where is GTR700 now❓
11:07-11:12 Right next to DEVLSH it seems like. Looks like it has white guards on it now. 🤘
Andrew, did I guess that correctly?
Thats a different car. Thats Pete's car.
GTR700 is in storage.
@@MotiveVideo But it's still around. Awesome, that's all that we wanted to know. 👍 Hope you're having a good day Andrew and the rest of the Motive crew, stay safe down there and away from the hotspots. I hope to be able to come back down south for action in 2021. 😈
Croydon has outlived a thousand other shops and you don't survive that long if you don't know what you are doing
So thats where all the gtrs are hiding.
They have some bad Skylines
Horsepower central
Jun ll 👍👍👍👍👍👍
Question is, who are CRD, cos from what i gather its technically CRD&R. Croydon Racing Developments & Rigolis. The thing is, the rigolis have declared bankrupt on all their workshop names, and nearlly all members of the rigoli family works at "CRD", so who exactly owns and funded the new workshop???? Some sort of fraudulent activity going on. So if i get anything done, and something goes wrong, who do i blame, CRD or the Rigolis???
What the hell are you on about? That is the most incorrect comment on our channel to date. Con and Omar own it. One Rigoli family member is a mechanic there in the last month. Wow.
think about the huge bills the customers have to pay.
Why would you assume that? Because of a clean well setup workshop? I'm a crd customer and let me tell you , they are priced no different to any other top tier gtr workshop in syd. And to be honest for the quality you're getting and respect your car is getting at crd, they actually should charge more for the service they provide in my opinion
You are thinking about it all wrong. Totally wrong
I pay $130/hour at a shop that rents out one of the cheaper, about 200'something sqm units in town with a extremely packed parking lot with people zipping in and out all the time with very tight gaps yet 100k+ immaculate GTR's sit in that same space who are regular repeat customers. If a shop like in the video isn't too much higher labour rate, then that's a winning combination. With the added space they can employ extra mechanics and consecutively work on more cars at the same time to make up for the higher rent
@@MotiveVideo you must have shares in the business
Its not an indictment on CRD and what they choose to charge, its acknowledging that to play in these kind of sand pits you have to have pretty deep pockets, regardless of which tuning shop you choose to go to.. Im over here trying to decide if I should splash out and get the fancy chinese speedflow fittings, or just make do with the cheapy brass ones and hose clamps :-/
Mind blown... serious serious money spent
