This was recorded by BBC Wales on a St, David's Day, back in '94. I was lucky enough to be there, it was a line up of the best rock musicians ever to come out of Wales, maybe even the UK. Dave and Mickey are up there with Knopfler, when it comes to rockabilly stuff. The line up is, Dave Edmonds, Mickey Gee, Pino Palladino, Andy Fairweather Low, Geraint Watkins and Clapton's awesome drummer, Henry Spinetti. R.I. P. Mickey, rock on guys, fantastic, so proud you are all Welsh.
True, not many to beat tho has he ? He does shine thru tho love him ! HTF did Tom Jones ever make it I will never know ! Dave was deffo the best rock musician ever to come out of Wales.
Love the dynamic between Dave and Geraint. Dave is nervous Geraint won’t be ready and Geraint is like, “don’t worry about me- I’ve been do’in this song since I was three!”
Elsewhere on YT you can find an interview of Dave Edmunds relating the story of how he played with Chuck back in the mid-80s as part of Chuck's 60th birthday celebrations, and Chuck was so impressed he let Dave play the leads, and said at the end 'Who says a white man can't play the blues?'. I've also heard another interview from Chuck himself commenting on one of Dave's songs (Queen of Hearts) saying Dave had a real feel for rock n roll...High praise indeed from the true king of rock n roll.
Sorry, this is really good but the voices and versions of Chuck himself and Jerry Lee are much more poignant. I would love to see Dave perform though. Saw and heard Chuck and Jerry Lee live at North Sea Jazz ‚Rock legends’ early 2000’s but regrettably Chuck was already too old to do his usual performance. Jerry Lee did allright in his seventees 😊
A person who can give a dislike here, do not know what good live music is - and shure never has tried to play on an accordion!!! This is such a great playing... And even if some people it will not believe, here you can hear it - also an accordion can sound great, if you know how to play it!

This is pure Cajun Wales, London and New Orleans mix. Such a powerhouse sound full on Johnny Allen. Is that Andy Fairweather Low? Tight as a drum lean and clean!

At one point,, D.E. says that if he could be reborn as anyone it would be as Albert Lee. The man is a guitar genius!
Right Albert is awesome. Personally I prefer ALVIN not Albert. I always thought that Alvin Lee, Ted Nugent, Rory Gallagher and Dave Edmunds were the best ever.

Wow. Was that excellent or what. Good ol' Dave Edmunds. One of the greatest exports Wales ever produced. 🏴
Do it forget Andy Fairweather Lowe, also from Wales and on stage!
