Solo 2 Phase Ecthar, The Shield of Savathûn

- This is an extremely tight 2 phase. It took me about 20 hours of testing/practice to get it, but I think I can get it somewhat consistently now with all the things I've learned. This run is super slow as I wasted a lot of time farming for mountaintop ammo and moving heavy bricks, as well as messing up my sunbracers rotation, but I think a sub 6 minute is very doable (with good heavy rng). As a reference I have been practicing this encounter a fair bit and my fastest 3 phase is around 8:30, so even with a lot of time waste the 2 phase is well worth it for a speedrun.
Strategy:
In order to two phase in the way that I did, the most important thing is getting off 23 GOOD shots of acrius. When I say good, I mean you need to be hitting every pellet, and also trying to get as much headshot damage as possible. In order to have 23 shots, you need a heavy brick placed in a spot where you can pick it up after (at least) 4 shots of acrius. The way I like to do this is by moving a heavy brick with mountaintop to the edge of the boss pool closest to where the rally banner is, but having it offset to the left or the right so you don't accidently pick up the brick immediately (this run actually has a good example of both spots).
Once you place the final vestige of light, you need to immediately run to where the well keeper knight spawns, I do this by jumping onto the staircase and quickly jump-boost Icarus dashing to convert my momentum (refer to the video), then you need to kill this knight AS QUICKLY as possible. Even if you time everything frame perfectly you have less than a second of wiggle room for the whole phase, so killing this knight fast is crucial. I use a high impact fusion rifle with liquid coils, major spec, reservoir burst as well as triple surge mods and radiant. This is just enough to kill the knight in a single burst if he doesn't spawn with a moth shield, and if he does I just have to melee him after the burst. You can use a shotgun or different fusion but you want to try and get the knight finisherable basically instantly.
Once you finish the knight, hip fire arbalest to break the bosses shield and throw a nade at his feet, then cast well. Well placement is pretty important, you want to put it at the base of the staircase as this will (usually) prompt the boss to use a titan barricade, which seems to make him just stand still for like 10 seconds. While in well animation swap to acrius/necrotic loadout and go to town. You want to use the same rotation I did, which is: melee, shoot, reload, shoot, reload, shoot, melee, making sure you melee as soon as each 3rd shot goes off. The last 5 shots you will need to reload before shooting but that's about the only variation in the rotation for the whole phase. After I shoot my 23rd shot I try to quickly swap to an arc rapid fire shotgun to get a little extra damage off, but this is not needed and most of the time the boss will be immune by the time I swap anyway.

I use sunbracers for the ad clear section, felwinters to apply a debuff when finishing the well keeper knight, and necrotic grips for extra dps:

Huge props to Biggz: / @biggz342 for getting this done a couple of hours before me, we were both collaborating on how this could be made easier but I definitely got most of my optimizations from watching his runs.

This is really impressive. The lucky heavy phase during ad clear, swapping to arbalest and felwinters, and being able to fill up on tractor is sooo much. I’m amazed the arbalest and felwinters make such a difference. Using just tractor in a well with arc surge, it was 4-5 phases for me.
This was….freaking incredible. This type of skill and mastery of the game is rare to see.

Technically a worlds first without trading with the boss like the record holder . I’m sure you can melee the bricks instead of using mountain top granted it would take longer
Meleeing the bricks also works but mountaintop is far better for sure

Does that work with any other setup?
Not as far as I know, but theoretically on void warlock you can extend the debuff with child of the old gods, have nova bomb for extra upfront damage, and also get radiant using rain of fire. Not sure about other classes though

@@Rence_VII I'm not exactly sure how every interaction works, but I know that child of the old gods will extend the 30% debuff from felwinters AT 30% (even though it is normally only 15%). You can test this out, it's pretty weird but it works - could be very useful for some solo stuff but staying alive on void during dps is hard without losing a lot of damage time

Why do you keep pulling out the apex predator?
There is a weird mechanic in this game that means when getting kills with your heavy weapon, there is a significantly higher chance for special ammo to drop. This can be triggered by simply holding your heavy weapon out and getting kills with abilites, or even getting a kill with another weapon and instantly swapping to your heavy.
