I bought mine yesterday. 2016 SE 1.6. In grey. I love it. It’s my 3rd generation escape. I had 07 limited Ed. 2011 limited Ed. . And now 16. I love them wouldn’t by any other model just for me and my dog. I love all the new features. And excited to driving it having fun. I’m a senior citizen living in Albert Canada. Even in winter 🥶 driving. 👍🏽 thank you. For showing me around. 👍🏽 just 47,500km
Thank you for this video! I purchased this car this weekend and now I feel like I really know my new car. You rock!!
Im possible purchasing this car this week. Do you still like yours?
Hi, yes I love it! I got mine in black. Good luck with your purchase :)
and another person asking how much you like it now a year later lol. I am going to test drive one tomorrow and would like to know how much you still like it after having it for a year
@@hunters1372 did you test drive it? I’m looking to test one out this weekend
I’ve had mine now for 2 years and I still love it! 😁
Got a rock solid deal on this year recently with only 44k miles on it. Perfect condition and got a fantastic trade on my carolla. Still a great car today.
How much you paid, I am planning to take one.
You missed one of the most important features... That 'little' 2.0 engine is TURBO CHARGED and it squawks those 17" wheels. I couldn't believe the guts this Escape has. Take it out for a ride and show the folks...
Thank you for making this video. My husband and I purchased a used model just like this one today . It has only 51,000 miles and in excellent condition. The first owner serviced as well. I love this car. It is extremely comfortable . It only took $ 26.00 to fill up!!! I have been driving a BMW 740i for 12 years now. I have loved driving this car so very much. My family and I took several road trips in it and it drove like a smooth sail on the road. We started having transmission problems, computer issues, battery issues you name it the last five years. So we decided it was time to replace my car . Mama is happy with my choice . I will always remember the good days in my BmW but now to repair all that was needed would be at least $15,000. My Ford Escape makes me happy. We did good today with our purchase.
Thank you, your video was very informative (love the attention to detail that you presented when explaining what each feature/button was for). Greatly appreciated, I am considering this car (watching your video was a plus).
I love the detail that you go into With explaining every single feature of the vehicle I'm gonna be getting the vehicle tomorrow can't wait Especially since I watched your video made me a lot more excited
this video made us more excited! me and hubby waiting for our new FORD ESCAPE SE today :)
+MARGE GARDE Thank you :)
Please share on Facebook and Twitter for others to enjoy
Keep up the great work.....your vids have come a long way from when I first started watching
Thanks. I’ve had mine for about 5 years. Bought it used off the lot and I love it still. Have no intention or reason to get rid of it. No trouble of anything knock on wood. Thanks for the video, a couple things I learned 😊
Just bought one based on your review! Previously leased. Very excited. Thanks!
How did you like it? Any issues from it? I’m looking to buy one this week :)
@@kaylajenai7 I really like it! There's a few annoying things, the biggest one I've experienced is that the battery is very hard to access so you'll probably have to pay a mechanic to switch a battery unless you're very handy. But I haven't had any major issues yet, it's been a good car, 30k miles in.
I bought this exact Vehicle today (But used with 26K miles) This video helped me tremendously. Same color, same moon roof feature, identical ! I can't wait to go back to the dealer Monday to drive her home.
Thanks for the video Sir.
odd thing about my 2016. There is no switch to turn on interior lights. you have to push each one individually OR OPEN your door. Odd that there is no master switch for turning on all interior lighting.
Another report now that I’ve owned my 2016 Ford Escape for a little longer. I had to replace the battery. It took two of us one full hour to do so! Had to remove the windshield wipers, the “Drip tray” system, detach the power steering fluid reservoir. Remove the battery box covers. After putting all back together we were off just a couple-few gear teeth making one of the wipers hit the other wiper so a little trial and error.
Also. I drove it from Chicago area to Denver CO round trip last month. I only got 23 MPG on entire trip. The 75 mph speed limit across NE had me at cruise control about 83 most of the drive. I still would have hoped for high 20’s but nope.
@@badapple65 it's like that in my 2011 f250, buy it you hard press the top of the backlight button (that changes the dimness of your gear cluster and stuff, can't remember the name) it will turn all the lights on. Not sure if it's the same, I'm getting my escape today.
Very nice and detailed video... actually IAM eagerly waiting for my ford escape 2016 SE . This video actually helped me a lot before I drive. Thanks though.
Great video, just bought a used one that is like new and your video answered so many of my questions.
Same here...Just bought one too. Very helpful
Very good review, makes me want to buy one.
this video made us more excited. me and my hubby can't wait to have it today! a long drive to PEI is waiting :)
Im looking at one for 17k with 98k miles is this a good deal?
This video was so very helpful. Just bought this car used, with 40,000 miles. The only things different is that my trunk isn't automatic and I don't have a sun roof. Those are the two things that I miss; plus my screen for the applications and phone connections isn't a touch screen. I guess I don't have the same model. However, I learned a lot from your video.
So only way to open trunk is by walking around to back to open latch?
I just ordered one of these waiting for me when I get home. thank you for the video.
Great video! Thanks for pointing out all the features. Only thing I dislike is the lack of cubbie spaces for a phone, remote, etc. other than that, a nice car.
Thanks :)
I agree 100%
Just picked up a 2016 Escape. I love it!!! Uses a bit more fuel than the fusion that I had, but I just love the escape
Gummy playzz Ironic, just this morning sold my 2012 Fusion to my daughter and planing on buying a 2016 slightly used Escape this afternoon.
How has your Escape been for you? I see your comment here is 9 months old. Happy New Year.
Very nice video Mike!! I really like my 2016 Escape.
Found one with 92k miles, decent buy or no?
Dylan, your settings will not allow me to reply to your comments.
I would love to, however the Mazda dealership doesn't allow reviews by outsiders. I talked to manager (He was arrogant and rude) and he said they already do car reviews and does't want me doing them too.
+MikesCarInfo
Wow. I watched a few of their "reviews" and they are cringe worthy haha. I love potato recorders.
+MikesCarInfo Sounds like they don't want any real criticism of their cars.
MikesCarInfo I love this car
Awesome video man ! Thank you bout to buy one up here in Alaska
I'm hoping to get one this Saturday and really really hope it has the Sun roof so i can travel especially to the beach
I noticed the gas needle was almost on E, but you have 45 miles left! I'm looking to trade my 2006 Pathfinder for something like this. I also live in SC btw.
Julian Small Call or text Traci at Conway Ford... her cell is 843-241- 8974. Tell her I said to give you a great deal!
Great tutorial. That console is very deep. May be convenient for a few extra bottled waters. ;) Picking up my new Escape Monday!
Excellent review Mike. Btw there is a secret pocket on the passenger seat 😉
Where

I got a 2016 like this one in January, it was a good deal and has been perfect so far! It's a 2.0.
I love cars as you can tell
Nice video! Looks like a very nice car
Someday, I buy the 2016 Ford Escape Mike.

Great video! I just bought one of these and the manual was 🤯
I'm getting 24 MPG overall in my 2016 Escape.
I am getting this car tomorrow. Any suggestions?
Because of you I’m going to get one! But I have a question. This is the base model but still has dual exhaust, rear camera, heated mirrors and fog lights? Are they standard for all SE models?
This vehicle had a few upgrades listed on the window sticker. Here is a brochure that shows you the standard and optional features on each trim for the 2016 year model.

Wow, My best friend, Wonderful video dear. I enjoyed watching. Hope to see you soon...

Great video!

+Ricardo Suárez Thank your for your positive feedback! Please share this video if you can :)
Love mine
Thank you
My wife who is short loves it so do i
Big step up from 2015 model
is there a diesel version of Escape in the US!?
Just got a '16 SE, and mine doesnt have this big screen. My screen sits back in the dashboard, and is not touchscreen.
Is the se trim a front wheel drive only or is this AWD OR 4WD w/fwd ?
Fwd and awd. Get fwd if you don't need awd
will never purchase another car from Ford...after moving their stuff to Mexico..I'm a proud owner of a Toyota. Toyota is very well built them the Fords..not one problem with any of my Corollas.
If you connect your iPhone, can you go under the apps tab and use google maps as your navigation?
Go to Ford site and download update on USB drive. I use my Samsung S7 and I can use Android Auto, phone has to be connected using USB. You can use Google maps or Waze
Excellent . Does the steering wheel adjust ???
Yes. Up and down and in and out
Will Ford allow a CarPlay upgrade to 2016 escape when they have their 2017 out?
+Vijay Narayanan I read that it will get upgraded later in 2016.
Thankyou. Is there a GPS in this car?
Does the back glass open?
Does it not have an auxiliary port ?
nice car
What button do u click for opening the top window

Hello , Mike
Did you make a review video on the new 2016 Hyundai Tuscan ? I need to know your opinion > plus I didn't see your reply on my question about the best compacted SUV for me.. That was in my comment on the GMC Acadia video if you recall.. pls respond
+asadalbadia I haven't found a decent Hyundai dealer to work with.
I replied to your previous comment yesterday on the Acadia video however now you are changing the parameters in this comment with the addition of 'compact' SUV'.
So now it is a COMPACT SUV, fuel efficient, Off-Road capable, for under $35,000?
I guess it depends on how much off-road capability you need... Maybe a Subaru Outback or a Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk?
Thanks Mike , but my friend recommends a Toyota( Land Cruiser ) Prado , what do you think ? and by the way , most of my journey to work is on pavement , but at the end I must go off road to reach the site , about 2 KM of sand and gravel roads , Little bit of bumps here and there . I forgot to mention that I found a dealer that can provide a trim level for the Prado for 43960 American dollars . which is above my 35000 dollars . If I decide to buy it , then I would have to pay my 35000 plus 1500 dollars monthly installments , according to the dealer .

+asadalbadia Yes, the Toyota Land Cruiser is the best!
Thanks Mike
Did you say "six speed transition"?
Is leaving something plugged into the 12 volt while the car is off bad? I beleive it wont power it correct because im worried that some cars batteries die because of that
I do it all the time.
is there a 2.5 version,
+juan ordoñez No man, its 1.6 and 2.0 versions
Yes, there is
Why would ford make a gas cover from the 90's where u can just open it freely without a button?
what camera are you using?
+zokhaino I used a Sony ax100 in this video.
+MikesCarInfo wow sony ax100 is that good in even 4k. Thank you for letting me know about it.

LOL at least it has the perfect name for a get-away car. Or a bad one....
I'm looking to by an SUV, and all Escapes with AWD have the Ecoboost engine. I won't buy another Turbo, so I guess it's going to be a Toyota RAV4, although I wish you could still get the V6. My sister in-law's 04 Escape V6 awd, has over 360,000 miles and still going, you won't see any Ecoboost engine reach those miles, with just a fuel pump replacement. Thanks to the government, long lasting engines are a dying breed.
+ron mortensen Oh, and not everybody wants a dark interior, and low profile tires.
Why do say engines won't last long?
+rontavius snipes To compensate for the appropriate sized engine for the vehicle, smaller Turbo engines are being used, resulting in increased cylinder combustion temperatures, increased combustion pressure, which decrease engine longevity. Also replacement of the turbo is at least a 1,000 dollars plus labor. I own a turbo charged car which has been excellently maintained, and it's cost over 5,000 dollars in maintenance and many repairs in just 76,000 miles. Some engines are better than others, but do the research, most auto mechanics and technicians agree.
Dang, thanks for breaking it down like that. I have a 2004 Nissan Altima and have fixed anything you can think of on that P.O.S. so i'm looking to upgrade but I value your feedback and agree with you on some points
+rontavius snipes I hope things are better with your next vehicle. You may want to avoid cars with CVT transmissions, especially if your planning to hold on to long term.
So, how can we connect our phone there?
we have a 14 one samme color with the convence pakage no nav no leather
i have this an its this color. but its called ruby red
How much
The 2016 Ford Escape started at $23,100 for the base S trim level, $25,300 for the SE trim, and $29,150 for the top-of-the-line Titanium. Of course this is late 2023 so you would have to find a used one at a different price.
It looks the same as Ford Kuga for Europe.
What's 4K?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/4K_resolution
OK...
But its not good for towing small camper. The SE 2.5 will only pull 1500 lbs. Can not even pull a small Scamp camper, or a pop up. Not Good! Bad buy on my part, Did not do my homework before I bought!!
+Jimmy Beasley 2.5 is not available in the AWD.
I own a 2016 escape and its junk I've owned it for 2 years and nothing but problems sunk thousands of dollars in repairs I'm trading mine in.
and sick paying the Union workers..
Nume bumber
Mr Mike you’re talking a lot of informations wich you haven’t to because your are very long
