I am about to buy an Escape and I wanted to know the differences between both models. All I can say is thank you for such an informative video. I have made my mind, I love the 2017 way better than the 16. The front look of the 16 looks so much like a sedan and I did not liked that. But you got me at how spacious is the inside of the car. I do not like the look of the 2017, I'm so glad I bought the 2015, which I love! I do not like the way they are going w the 2017 grill, and even the little changes they made w shape of lights- They had a nice looking, unique, classy style/shape that came out in 2013, which others copied, and now they are just switching back to a big ugly grill that looks like every other suv.
Yeah I don't like the new grill on it either I have a 2016 for escape I love the grill on 2016 2015 but the up to date grill is a no no they should of left it alone
The front on the 2017 is so much better looking, perfect! But the rear... Hmm, those tail-lights are way too "dark" and small in my opinion. The 2016 rear looked better. But the car's exterior and interior are improved, no question about it.
How about towing capacity of the 2017 Escape? I'm thinking of getting the 2017 Airstream Base Camp or next up small Airstream trailer. Would the two litre engine be sufficient?
No!!! You do not tow trailers with a Ford escape. If you had to brake hard or swerve in traffic's quickly you might crash and die because the escape is not strong enough . If you want a vehicle that like an SUV and better at towing then the Honda Ridgeline is your best choice. But even that is not as good as a proper tow vehicle such as the 1/2 ton market
I prefer 2013, it looks more refined style, like European meanwhile 2017 looks more like Ecosport and Ranger, a rare combination than 2020 they eliminated a totally different style, maybe trying to forget this one...

I just don't get it, last ford escape 2016 had leds in the back lights ( or something similar), why is this new model not offering those leds??????

Small boats... yes. Campers? ....probably not the best option. If i remember correctly, the 2.0L tows up to about 4500lbs.... i could be mistaken.

Hi Brian. It's my own personal opinion that the seats didn't change much if at all between the two years...
I like the 17 but the wheels look really bad. They look much better on the 16.
