No I hate this concept cause it’s pointless . There 1000 millions cars wich are unlicensed and are 90% the same or 60 % the same as the licensed car, but never 100%. Just stick to licensed cars . Try unique race tracks if you want to try something new. Lots of racetracks are in old games wich don’t get used anymore , or tracks wich are only appeared in one game .
Man, GTA Online has a million cars that would fit under this video. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a video game where you can drive a stock extended cab 2000’s Silverado, a Infiniti FX45, a stock 2000’s Toyota Camry or a base 80’s S10.

The clip with the Factory R175DX sent me straight back to my childhood. I've played so much Burnout Revenge back then, and that track was one of my favorites. To this day the Factory series in that game, especially the R160ST, is one of the best original car designs in video games I've ever seen.
That's the SF Rush patented car design for ya. Most of the cars in those games had wheels poking out of their bodies (unless you're a hot rod, a rocket, or F1).
Ridge racer has a lot of interesting cars, considering its actually tied to the strangereal universe from ace combat we get some outlandish stuff but with additional lore, see: ridge racer 7 crinale
I want to point out that the GTM isn't built "on top of a C5 Corvette". It uses the suspension, engine, and a handful of running components from a C5, a transmission from a 911 (or a purpose-built unit from Mendola if optioned as such) bolted to a custom tube-frame chassis to create a mid-engine supercar that you can put together yourself (or commission a shop to build it).

I really like this concept! I actually kind of do a similar thing to diecast cars, trying to find out if some fantasy or generic castings are actually based on real cars. It's such a fun thing to do.

Another one: Open Wheel Race Car from The Simpsons Hit & Run. It's definitely based on the McLaren MP4/4 judging by the car's livery being inspired by the Marlboro livery in 80s/90s F1, but it has noticeable differences such as having an Indycar style body, headlights, and in-universe brands that are obvious parodies in said livery, with the main sponsor being Laramie Cigarettes, and also another sponsor being Duff Beer. Total Drivin' also has a plethora of unlicensed cars that are more obvious in the European version than the American and Japanese versions. The Rally Cars and the Sports Cars resemble real-world cars like both Toyota Celica models ST185 and ST205, the McLaren F1, and the Porsche 911 Carrera RS Clubsport.
The Toyota Mark II sedan severely lacked important bits, like the fact these also had a Turbo straight 6 and was popular with drifters and the Bosozoku crowd.
Talking about Peugeot Oxia, it is also unofficially in A-Spec mod on Gran Turismo 2 and WorldUnited server on Need for Speed: World, which is licensed.
Do you think you could include the 2006-2009 Lotus Europa S in a Unicorn Cars video? The only games its been in are NFS: Carbon, NFS: World, and Auto Club Revolution.
Ridge Racer Type 4 my beloved. Always felt Ridge Racer and GTA did theie cars well, lots of them you can tell what the inspiration is, and others are pieces and parts.
Racing Legends by Funzy has a roster of unlicensed cars. Some may resemble real-life cars, some do not. The Premier, for example, has the front of a Porsche Taycan but the rear end of a Porsche 991.

I think GTA V's vehicles do look borderline knockoffs of real cars... Even if the majority is apparently 4WD because people suck at driving. Also may I suggest cars from Carmageddon & Wreckfest?

Every car in gta especially the new ones are copies of real cars lmao. Until around 2017 or so they kinda combined cars and did their own twist on it but from then they pretty much copied them 1 for 1. Not a bad thing though 😅

Liscensed cars are why old racing games get taken off store pages so no they are not always better personally have more fictional cars than real cars i actually like

San Francisco Rush series got a lot of knock of cars, in 2049 you got a McLaren F1 knock off, but in the first games are more obvious knock off cars
