I am convinced that KEXP's sound engineers need to put together a roadshow and teach everybody else how to produce live music! They make every band sound at their best.
9 years later they still never miss. Can't get over his vocals and their range in sounds amongst albums is just wild. I don't think I will ever tire of this band
you can tell their drummer is super meticulous with every accent, every crescendo and decrescendo, making every phrase truly speak. a truly thoughtful and aware musician!
His name is Suren de Saran, he's a DW sponsored drummer/percussionist. I have a cousin who was a touring drum tech for a number of groups and said Suren is secretly a technical God. Like when warming up he would just rip into complicated shed stuff that had a jazz feel instead of a gospel feel and was just nothing like what anybody else does, and anyone in the crew with a drum background would stop what they were doing and be mesmerized. Maybe get a hint of it in the 'Carry Me' build at 21:30.
I was at their show that night at Neptune when Royal Canoe didn't show up. Liz filled in and opened with some of her own songs, and she was pretty good on her own. I'd love to see them together again.
Remember finding and falling in love with this when I was about 15, had it on repeat constantly whilst playing Skyrim 😂 so many memories. Good times. Still a guilty pleasure!
Guilty pleasure? 😂 maybe certain kinds of pop music could be considered a guilty pleasure but BBC are an incredibly talented group of people who have put out solid music for over a decade.
@@judekristo primarily a metalhead, so I kinda feel like anything outside of it has to be considered a guilty pleasure... stupid really. Good music is good music. I agree though
I used to go dancing at the Bombay Bicycle Club in Pioneer Square in Seattle back in the 70s. It was a great club! I remember standout performances by Papaya and Dumi & the Minazi Marimba Ensemble.
These people look like the nicest set of contestants ever to be on University Challenge. Then they go home and play their musical instruments really well and order matching Mountain Warehouse jackets to go on their trip to Scotland.
I was about to comment this exact same thing, but figured I'd scroll to see if anyone noticed it as well. What's that? You were going to tell me what inspired the song? No thanks...
i was smile through the whole video and gave them applause one after another song,i was just captivated by their performance. GOOOD VIBES and so CREATIVE
+Yustine Saptarini J Judging by your name you seem to be an Indonesian. If so, then it's nice to see a fellow Indonesian can appreciate this kind of music. :)
CS IHDA Hehehe yes i am. i do really appreciate this kind of music. i don't really like to listen the pop mainstream artist these days (not them all tho). nice to meet ya :)
Did not expect to like this. Just heard Shuffle a lot and wanted to hear some different stuff from them. I am pleasantly surprised that I really like everything they played.
I love these guys so much. Even though some of them look really "underwhelmed" as some put it, they have such a great time (in concert especially) and their performance is an absolute joy to watch.
Musical Genius. I am in love with the sound of this group. Very hip. Talk about sensory overload! in a good way! Just processing the sounds of the instruments, voices, melody , and how each song flowed made my heart race while each sound formed came together was so fricken cool!
Its only tthe Brits that can spit this amazing stuff out! Why ? cos the uk is just happy to accept every one mate......inspiration will be the saviour of mankind!

+TheMasterCylinder RIGHT?! Mad props to whoever does the sound on these shows
Can't agree more. I really admire their work.
TRUE THAT
also the guys from the tiny desk gigs at npr music.
Sooo true !!! Best sound on youtube in my opinion .... i'm listening this on the Logitech z906. Pure bliss
Massively underrated band. All of their albums deserve careful and repeated listens
Traduce this.
Yo pongo a veces un álbum lo acabo y termino estuchando los demás en una tarde y hasta los llego a repetir.
This band is criminally underrated. Where are the VIEWS?
lol its nearly reached a million views
hohoho santa
It was less than half that when I made the comment.
I believe they have just the right amount of attention. Maybe a little too much. Just a little.
Fucking hipster
Vasyly D'yaconov LOL
Bombay bicycle clubs music makes me want to stay alive just to keep experiencing it. It's so inconceivably magical.
I feel the same.

Boss aren't they.
It does tell you on screen what is playing you know...
this is some mystical shit. was waiting for the singer to fly away during the first song
ahaha I'm dying XD
Lol
damn, this comment is some mystical shit :D
I love how when they start playing Jack just stands there grooving out like "My Band is so damn good."
that girl, what a voice.
she sings like an angel.
I'm in love with Liz Lawrence. shes a natural singer. hope they work with her again in the future. soooo good in the studio. a true talent.
+James High Yeah, great replacement for Lucy Rose.
Romany1111 what's wrong with Lucy Rose?
Hazel Chief-rabbit maybe he meant that she is as good as Lucy. Both are great.
I was at their show that night at Neptune when Royal Canoe didn't show up. Liz filled in and opened with some of her own songs, and she was pretty good on her own. I'd love to see them together again.
@@kyle7516 she is supporting them on their latest tour
Liz Lawrence is awesome... Her voice sounds so much more suited to the feeling of the band... Beautiful
The intro of feel is darn amazing, so full of energy.
nice profile picture
Her voice is heaven.
shes really good. for some reason she reminds me of a gorillas' character
dork
The chorus of that first song cheers me the f**k up every time.
Hands down one of my favorite bands.
2019 - they're back!
Yeah lol
Finally! I´ll get to see them in Guadalajara wooooo!! I hope they play all of these songs, can´t wait

They've definitely become one of my favorite bands, they're latest album is incredible.
Man I just love this group; one of the only groups I know of that sound better live than on an album
I love how these shows are usually at odd times during the day, at least for a show. Imagine laying this down the morning of a live show.
1- Feel 0:26
2- Shuffle: 5:46
3- Luna: 14:49
4- Carry Me: 18:13
Why did I only discover them today? Well, better than never. Feel is dope...

Jack Steadman has revolutionized the British folk scene with the saxophone.
I really didn't find it so impressive. He's doing his own thing, I guess. I didn't like Suren's club album either.
However, guys, we can all agree, Jamie’s fitness video was really helpful

I'm loving the use of grammar here Lord Beatchef.
WORLDS BIGGEST BOTTOM BURP the peoples poet
The thing that I like the most about Bombay is: the soft and harmonic voices.
- Interviewee: That was kind of ... a dream that we had, which came true.
- Interviewer: Alright. To my left here...
No fucks were given that day.

The "Naagin" tune composed by Hemant Kumar sampled in the song "Feel". Amazing song.
One of the best bands going, immaculately pulled off performance here
The drumming on Luna is absolutely epic!!
Substance over image... great to see. and what a fantastic group who need to be seen live to be appreciated fully!!
The first song (feel) makes me want to dance, sounds great...

Can’t stop watching this performance. A sound all their own and one of the tightest bands I’ve ever seen. Some serious skills making it look easy.
Found this in end of 2017. What a treat!
The engineers at KEXP always do such a great work, I love it!
The drummer is a real dream!
All their songs are full of color like paintings of Matisse, and full of sun like Hawaiian seashore
