I was not a Christian when I first went to Taylor in fall of 1985. I went there to play baseball. The Lord used my love of the game to get me there and then used the music of Whiteheart to bring me to Himself. I sit here watching the Over Me video and come to tears at the message and the memory of how Jesus used CCM and my experience at Taylor University to show His love for me and help me understand my need of a Savior. I thank TU and Whiteheart for their commitment to our Lord Jesus.
got to see them on the tales of wonder tour, and again just before they released the highland album. i got to meet some of them too. very cool people. i wish they would reunite and do another album/tour.
Thanks Jon for putting this video on the internet. Whiteheart videos are very rare to find. God bless you. Let's pray for a reunion and maybe a tour to Brazil.
Thank you so much for sharing this. "Over Me" has been one of my favorite songs of worship since I first heard it. I'm dating myself badly, but I heard this in 1989, when I bought the "Freedom" album - still one of my favorite Christian rock albums.
These guys are amazing musicians. I always liked them better than most so called "hair bands" who walked around with huge egos and bad attitudes, back in those days.... These guys are up there with bands of the caliber of Toto and Journey, as far as musicianship.
Oh Wow! I know this is a different location, however, it puts me back at a rainy AtlantaFest - Six Flags Over Georgia. No matter how many times I saw Whiteheart live, nothing will compare to that night and that version of Over Me.
This band is really wonderful, my brother and I used to listen their songs and show them to our non Cristian friends; 20 years after they are still a reference for me...
Whiteheart are my favorite Christian rock band. I also like Degarmo & Key, David & the Giants, Guardian, PFR, Mylon & Broken Heart, Bride, Whitecross, Big Tent Revival, Geoff Moore & the Distance, Third Day, Petra, etc.

One of the first Christian bands I heard. Some people may knock CCM but I had strayed and CCM brought me back
MAN! Old school whiteheart fan here! Would love to see them reunite!
