That's just awesome. A song from 1989 sounds just as fresh as if it was written yesterday. And to perform it without a sound check or practice after 15 years?? These guys are just amazing, every single one of them.
Yeah, still able to blow the audience away. I watch this video at least once a day. I thank God I was blessed to be able to see them back in the day. I miss them.
Thank you, the memories I have of seeing/hearing White Heart are great, I wish I could do it all over again. "Freedom" is still one of my favorite albums ever.
Whiteheart was the best rock and roll Christian band period. I got into them with Powerhouse after seeing videos on the Inspiration channel in the 90's. They had video shows that were on most of the night from Friday night till Sat morning. Love everything but Highlands and Tales of Wonder are my favorites. Wish they would play around here. I've seen several times and each time they rocked my heart and my head. They are what all Christian bands should be. Lyrically and musically they are Fab
Few band could come back almost 20 year later and pull off a performance of a song with such Intensity of performance. Hats off to you guys. Rick you are freakin awesome!
Totally awesome! Rick still has that great voice and all his moves! All the guys still got it. I used to go see them in concert all the time, absolutely loved them and their music then - still do. A reunion tour would be really cool!
WOW!!! I just found this clip by happenstance today and.... not only did it take me back to when Freedom first came out, but to see my heroes on stage again and to hear Rick sound sooooo good after all these years.... just... cold chills. Jon Knox.... you are amazing, sir. This particular line is PERFECT with you behind the kit.
Dang, these guys can still rock out. They seriously should get back together for some more albums. Freedom is one of my top 10 albums of all time. I had a ticket to see them on their Tales of Wonder tour and my car broke down on the way to the show. One of the saddest days of my youth. White Heart was a big part of my high school and college years. I have a lot of respect for them. Rock on, guys!
My son is turning 17 next month. I was running with his Mom, while he was still in her womb back in 1991 to see White Heart's concert. If I remember correctly this was at Six Flags Theme Park. I also saw them at Disneyland at the come from underground stage. My favorites: - Whe are his hands - He's Returning - Seventy times Seven - Desert Rose
I was there during this performance. Thanks for posting as I never did see this on tv(as I expected I would). I had not heard this song before this performance(I was there mainly to see BarlowGirl and Rebecca St. James). Despite not having the best seats, my nephew and I were really impressed by this incredible performance by White Heart. They showed they are really good musicians. And Rick Florian sang with alot of heart.
Ive known your "dad", met him, know full well what he does now. I am not picking a fight with you, just saddened his humility didnt follow in your response. God Bless Rick and his family, Whiteheart is and was an awesome band!
I'd say it's beyond time for a reunion tour....what do you guys all say? I'd go see em and take my kids too. C'mon Whiteheart!! We want to see you again!!!
Oh I forgot to mention Jon Knox. You are an awesome drummer! I saw the Tales of Wonder tour and Highlands and man you rocked! I watched your every move when you guys played the freedom tunes. It was like heaven. nice.
Last time I saw these guys was on the Inside Tour at Jesus Northwest um 96 I think it was. They rocked saw em before that well heard em I was back at our campsite they was on the Powerhouse slash Tales of Wonder Tour in 94. Either way they rocked it up both times. If they band didn't get back together don't matter I'd like to buy the resale rights and get the permission to sing their songs in concerts etc. Any one in? Drummers, keys, vocals, Guitars.
Wow! This is priceless. Tommy Simms, Gordon Kennedy Joining the other root members of WH. Is there a video available of this or could we see more WH performances? The talen from these guys is amazing. My wife used to babysit for Tommy Simms and his wife Cathy in Syracuse, Indiana. She has great memories of the Simms. Thanks again for posting.
Christian music needs more bands this. There's only a period of about 10 years that had good Christian rock... Now most of what you hear on Christian radio is pretty crap where all the songs sound the same.
Ricky, Billy, Tommy, Mark, you can't just turn it off. When it grabs you, like this, you have to get out of bed at 3am and write some more. A reunion tour? Yeah right. Getting WH to do that is like getting Led Zeppelin to do a reunion tour. File that under "This Never Happens".
I like this song but I'm trying to find it with The Album line up live cause that that is my fav White Heart lineup. I perfer Chris McHugh on drums than Jon Knox. No offense Jon but I liked you better in Deliverance.

Yeah...and I miss Whiteheart! I could listen to his voice all day.
My favorite band when I was younger.

I love White Heart!! Rick Florian is one of the best Christian Singers out there today according to my standards. :)
After 17 years, they still blow the audience away

Awesome!!!! Man do I wish these guys were still putting out CD's! They were and are still one of my all-time faves!
Oh how cool! I saw them in 1993....had no idea they were still performing. This really takes me back!
Wish my real estate agent sang like that. Good to see Whiteheart together again. Hope they do another album, or two, or so on.

Rick still is fidgety and twitchy all over the stage, go boy!
I'd say it's beyond time for a reunion tour....what do you guys all say? I'd go see em and take my kids too. C'mon Whiteheart!! We want to see you again!!!

Unbelievable, but I believe it.! Fabulous, I thought the last album was the end,
@cerdocop - they were the 3 kings of Christian rock! we're blessed to have such great rock now and then.
Great clip. Saw Gordon Kennedy playing for Peter Frampton a year ago.
beautiful

He's my uncle =) I swear im not lying
That's cool! :)
Have you followed in his footsteps musically?
skrepa dep-o-dep deppo deppo deppo dep-po dep
Given this performance was in 2006, did Gordon Kennedy and Tommy Sims actually perform with the band? Or are they only simply tagged in the video?

What does your dad do now? for a living, his job?
Who's your dad?
