Miami late night was magical back in the day. The lights, the almost empty roads, the great tunes on the radio. Crusin' was never better. It was a great place to grow up back then. Lived there over 40 yrs. Left in '05 and moved back to America! And yes, I brought the flag with me!
Keamy Bakunin So. Florida has been a retirement destination for decades. But in just the last 25-30 yrs. the Hispanics have outnumbered the Anglos. A large number of jobs require the employee to be bilingual, speaking both English AND Spanish. If you can't speak Spanish, you're not welcome, plane and simple. That's why I stated I moved "back to America".
I remember seeing this as a child, remember it was a phil collins song, but not this one. Thank you for posted this. Great memories here. Great show also. They dont make it like this anymore
This is totally awesome, the way the music fits the story, it's like Phil knew this would be used for this . M.V. is and always be my ALL TIME fave show . Got M.V. ON DISC , And thankfully the Forces Channel on free view are showing M.V. mon to thurs at 9pm in the u.k. so everyone who still likes M.V. here in the UK can watch again . Great times are here again, thanks Forces Channel your the Tops
That scene, that song, was epic back in the day. Miami Vice was cutting edge stuff. Kinda a funny to look at it now. Special effects are no longer special, but the soundtrack, casting, writing, acting, and locations still hold up, decades later. (The hair, wardrobe? As dated as the special effects, but also were cool back in the day.)
I never even seen this Till today but everytime I heard this song I always thought of miami vice. And this only has over 60,000 views? wtf!? This was epic.
Miami Vice came out while I was yet a boy &, admittedly, it was one of my favorite shows, pre-conversion. I was already fairly conservative in attire, but the show did influence my dressing nevertheless & it was fairly often I was in a sport coat, usually in slacks & always in, say, Giorgio Brutini shoes without socks & wishing I had a white Ferrari! LOL! At least I identified myself with the "good guys" & not the "bad guys"! I don't know how a person can watch a show like Miami Vice with "good guys versus bad guys" & think, "Yep, that's me! I aspire to be like that criminal right there!"
StangQuest94 They should have at least lost their thumbs. This was Miami Vice's defining scene. That metallic click of the pay phone followed by the drum roll and the windscreen view of a Miami night. Not bad.
does somebody have deja vu watching this clip? i have strange deja vu, because i don't remember any past events but have feelings that it's future .... connected to the OOBE

Hair and wardrobe are still plenty cool. Dated in the best way possible. 1984.

Every time they play this song on the radio, I think of the original Miami Vice (not Risky Business which used this song as well).
Shit is hot, the music, their grills, tubbs loading the shotty chrome spinning, light of the hood of the car. Miami vice don't get no better.
MUCH CLIMATIC... Music, scene... Beautiful
Damn I miss Crokett and Tubbs....great undercover cops....great soundtracks....
Top !!
