      Walaikum asalam! Glad you enjoyed the video.
      That's an excellent question you've raised. There are two perspectives on the nature of 'ma' in 'ما شاء الله.'
      The first view suggests it is 'ma' as a ما موصولة with the meaning of 'الذي.'
      The second viewpoint proposes that it might be a 'ma' found in conditional sentences ما شرطية, where the complete sentence would be 'ما شاء الله كان,' but the 'كان' is omitted."

    What about still?
    Maa zaala?

    • @Arabicwithamina
      @Arabicwithamina  3 месяца назад +1

      Good question!
      In this stance "maa" is a negation particle, and "zaal" is a past tense verb meaning (gone, nonexistent, or cease to exist).
      So when zaal is negated the meaning becomes (still) or (ongoing)
      This can be achieved with ما or لا
      ما زال / لا زال
