Oh, how I have missed my daily dose of Morgan ❤. I can not tell you how much I just love your 2023 reflections. That is such a beautiful tradition I want to start as well. Collectively, there is this idea of "last year was a failure, things will be better next year" at New Years. Probably because the holiday season is usually a lot more stressful than we would like. But taking time to really look back at the year before in appreciation and gratitude of all the highs and lows is such a magical way to enter the next year. ✨️

I'm a physiotherapist, and these are my top tips for better posture 😉
1) Imagine there is a piece of string connected from the top of your head to the ceiling, pulling your head away from your shoulders.
2) Periodically throughout the day, especially when sitting, check the distance between your shoulders and your ears. Then purposefully create distance between them. Add in some gentle shoulder rolls and a couple of deep breaths as well. Especially important to do this when you feel anxious, anxiety affects our posture and breathing.
3) When standing, gently pull your shoulder blades down and inwards (just a small movement). You can also pull your belly button in slightly, to activate your abdominals, this will help to stop you from slumping. But don't hold your breath, keep breathing normally.
4) Pretend you are a beloved character from an Austen novel 😅 hehe

Thank you for bringing some joy and some peace to my holiday season. I lost my mother early December this year after a long dementia journey. I didn’t think I’d feel good this season….until your vlogmas. Each day brought some peace, calming comfort and finally joy. For me it works to let decorations up until mid of february: ✨🎄✨ And doing this I love winter, is my favorite season. it's an endless celebration of snow, light, candles, hot drinks and rest. Not to talk abot reading!

Same here, I wouldn’t dream of taking my decorations down before New Year’s. Plus it takes so long to get everything up, I want to enjoy it longer! Definitely makes my January more bright ✨

Hi Morgan, officially Christmas decorations “should” be taken down after three kings day (6th of January), so why don’t you leave them a little longer if it feels so empty and less cozy without them? In Europe most people leave them at until after New years. Xx
I bought The Crossroads of Should and Must (at Powell's actually!) and it sat unread for a couple years, but I read it eventually and really loved it! Recently I saw a meme that resonated deeply. It says, and I paraphrase - "Instead of trying to be your "best" self or your "higher" self, go be your "favorite" self. That way leaves room for grace." It's the perfect 2024 resolution for me, a goal that somehow combines room for both growth and acceptance.

I suffer from seasonal depression and one thing that really helps me are pencil trees! I bought 2 and I only decorate them with white lights so they stay up all winter. While “Christmas” comes down, winter stays up and it makes it so cozy on grey days!

We do not take our decorations down here until 12th night after Christmas, which will be the 6th January. So I still have my outside Christmas lights on at night, and I am enjoying my Christmas tree coloured lights on every night still, in my sitting room, with all the decorations on the tree. I spend Christmas alone with my Madge, so am making the most of having them on still, as it is so windy and wet outside here in West Devon, England. xxx
I usually leave mine up that long too. I’m not ready to take them down, and the days before Christmas are so busy, it’s nice to relax and read in my Christmas house. By a week after New Years I’m ready to pack it up and refresh the house.
By you taking care of yourself and having fun in your life, we will be also allowed and feel the permission to do the same to ourselves! So please continie with those whether it is your job or not
Thank you so much for this video, it inspired me to keep sober during a really hard holiday season and keep going towards my goals. I always wear a bow in my blonde hair, and I thought of you when I put it on today because these girls (I'm 30, they were older than me) made fun of me for it and another got annoyed and said I wasn't a princess. I just kind of laughed and realized that they might just be afraid to be joyful. So I loved this reminder to keep being me. And you keep being you, the world needs our joys!

In listening to you I was reminded of the book "Wintering" by Katharine MAY and her perspective on how we all go through wintering times not always in the cold season. I have not taken down my Christmas items because I love the comfy beauty of it, so probably won't take it down until mid January, and I am happy about that. I think I will do a popouri as well with orange, lemon peels, cloves and cinnamon stick. Loved this video. Enjoy your week. Dear One🌹

Better posture has been on my list forever, too! I just keep forgetting about it and then catch myself at slouching. I guess we'd have to find a way to integrate it into our daily lives so that it becomes second nature and we don't have to actively remember it. If I ever find out, I'll let you know 😅🙈

I have been following you for years now. Rarely comment at all but I always watch your videos, and I believe I watched all of them in 2023 and I think you showed Joy in all of them. As my mentor of life says “The joy of life is to be found not by evading life’s sufferings but by grappling with them to the finish. Escapism cannot produce true happiness. Happiness based on delusion does not last. Enlightenment comes from seeing the truth, no matter how unpleasant it may be.” Daisaku Ikeda. And that’s exactly what you did, you decided to be happy no matter what, so I say: be proud of the monumental joy you have accomplished despite all the hardships of 2023!!!!🎉 also your resolution of reading a page of a book instead of looking at your phone is phenomenal!!!! I always bring a book or my kindle with me no matter where I go. We wait for a lot of things and it amazes me how many people just sit there doing nothing and then say they don't have time to read....Drives me crazy. I haved filled the rooms of my house with twinkle lights of different styles....they are kind of like having a fireplace as the light they give is warm light...and really cozy up the house. They stay up year round.

Hi Morgan ❤ Another cozy and heartwarming video. Thank you! Your videos have become a way for me to take a moment for myself to just rest and be for a little while. A light and warm moment in some cold or dark days sometimes. Thank you for that! I wanted to give something in return if I could. :) As I was listening to your list of goals for 2024 you mentioned better posture, learning more French and taking a dance class and I couldn't help but think maybe a ballet class would be in order! That would be all three of those things at once. hehe! Ballet is one of my most favorite things in the world and I've been dancing and teaching on and off for most of my life. If you do decide to find a ballet class, my advice would be to find one with a gentle and kind teacher who encourages you to listen to your body and dance safely and with joy. There are such a wide range of teachers and classes and some are a better fit than others. I don't live in Portland, but if I was teaching ballet classes for adults still, I would love to have you in my class. :) Ok, that was a lot. haha! I love the idea of picking photos from 2023 for an album and designing a mood board off Pinterest for 2024. I also absolutely love the blue butterflies you put over your fireplace. That is the one thing that I am going to do this coming year and carry a book with me. :) I also love the idea of being outdoors for 1 hour a day.
