Kudos to Motorola for still offering a headphone jack and SD card. Some people may not care about it, but for many others it's a huge plus!
And they BETTER KEEP IT. 2019 moto stylus user rn and I love it but the 4gb ram is starting to make this phone unusable sometimes. The style keeps getting better with moto and loving the 2024 designs. Headphone jacks ftw

I already have the OnePlus 12 but I might buy this thing with a trade-in of a Samsung phone to get it for $200. I want it so I could check my trail cameras with the SD slot and my motorcycle stereo is used with a 3.5 mm headphone jack so this will be perfect then I can get rid of that stupid dongle
@@samdovels1234 Oh really does it have a HD radio ? That's one of the United States government specification for smartphones . Motorola just looked out for you didn't they and how much did you spend on there hustle phone ?
2 OS updates would have made this phone a must buy. Even with that old snapdragon chip. 1 OS is a huge skip. Motorola just can't meet the demand people are asking for. Headphone jack and SD card expansion is a stellar move. They could have sold millions of them in the States if they just added more support.
I hope that Motorola pulls a Samsung move, and announces more OS updates for its newest phones. Idk why they can’t add more OS updates, unless they found that most of their consumers upgrade every 1-2 years.
@@Tristin471 that's a good argument. Phones are getting too expensive. People hold on to them longer. Motorola has no excuse. They have been in the game for a long time. I'm surprised they still make phones. I think their marketing is more business and workplace related.
@chickenandshrimp1338 I really want to buy a Motorola phone because of the headphone jack and the SD card slot, but the lack of updates makes the decision hard.

These companies know what they're doing. Most people get sick of their devices after 2 years, pushing 3, so why purchase license updates when people are more likely than not going to get an upgrade. Not defending them but I see where they're coming from.
Cricket in the US has it for existing customers for $120. No brainer at that price for me.

Decent speakers
Decent cameras
Even processor is same as 2023 version, it runs smooth. I have virtual RAM turned off though
It has esim and I had it setup with T-Mobile and leave physical SIM unoccupied

I just upgraded and am waiting for it to ship. I've been using the original stylus 5g for 3 years now and for what I paid for the phone you really can't beat it. I won't spend $1000+ on a phone ever again. Motorola makes a solid phone.
I was between the Samsung galaxy S 23 FE and this moto g stylus 2024. and looking for information about the Motorola I saw your video and it convinced me. I am a big fan of the Samsung Galaxy series. This is my first time owning a Motorola and I am honestly impressed with the battery life, the speed with which it responds. The photos and videos are fine for me. I bought it at Metro Pcs and paid $259.99 and they gave me 3 months of insurance included. For me it is worth it. As for updates, I am not worried. Motorola will do something since the phone is selling very fast.
The S23 fe is a great device. A sleeper. I have it.
I have both and the fe is better, because of the cpu and updates. I do like the vegan back on the moto.
The battery life is poor on the FE. And only 128 non expandable storage. At least you get 3 years of security updates with the Moto (OS updates are overrated anyway as they can slow down a device...)
@@MichaelLaundry-tz4lp It's a myth. They fixed that issue long ago. The battery is definitely a full day with 30% left before bed.
@@MichaelLaundry-tz4lp wrong. I have the 256 gig. Battery is great. The issue was fixed long ago. 3 OS and 4 years security. Everyone knows Samsung is known for amazing support. Even better than Google.
Just bought the phone and I love it, BUT the screen catches scratches really really easily. Screen was better the previous year. Infect I've never had a phone that scratched the easily.
Android 14 ruined my Moto G stylus 2023! The battery drains much faster now!
That's really a problem... All these OS updates and then all of a sudden the phone doesn't work all that great anymore. Just give me security patches!!!

I have U on mine (but I did clean install with RSA) and it doesn't have problem
@@kyle_mk17you still use that one? I have it just for watching other videos. But that got stupid laggy when it went to the next OS. Also the battery went so fast. I have the 2023 g stylus. Much better even compared to the 2022 that I used

I got this through Cricket for free. Its pretty nice but I wouldn't pay $400 for it. The display is nice and bright too
My next upgrade. And yesss the headphone jack. I'm old school I need headphones jack. After I switched from Samsung to Motorola I have stayed over the years with moto. Will upgrade to this

being able to add a 1TB sdcard is great, too bad about the OS updates though.. only 1 seems odd
You can spend a little more & get the OnePlus 12R. It has 3 yrs OS 4 yrs security, snapdragon 8 gen 2 processor, 5500 mah battery.
And no expandable memory & no headphone jack. These are deal-breakers. I have been with Samsung since the Galaxy S3 through the S10 when they left me. That is why I wanted the new
Sony 1 VI - but no 2024 USA version.
So, I will go with Motorola.

This phone looks awesome for the price. Especially if you get a good deal on it at a carrier. You get a lot of value and so many features. Sucks it only gets one OS update but otherwise it looks excellent. I’m likely gonna get this phone and switch back to android from iOS for good.
great review and phone has many nice options (sd card, headphone jack) But I wont be getting because of Motos "Lack" of OS updates

The iPhone 11 is about to be 5 years old. Id go with the Moto g stylus honestly.
Its a good bang for buck$ , however i didn't like how Google wants to interfere too much and collect even more data , a simple option to have built in text messages instead of google messages would be nice , and the massive amout of third party promotional apps is crazy , can't uninstall because their built in , just unable , besides that if your limited on funds its a great phone

If you like the leather and stylus- go moto, not as fast less longevity and worse cam/display but its leather with a stylus.
Objectively the a35 is the better phone samsung just wins with the fact they can put better first party hardware on the devices without sacrificing updates

4g? Go with this new phone. I went from the 22 5g stylus straight to the 23 5g stylus. I must say it was a huge upgrade. Picture quality is better and the speed of the phone is quicker

This phone is a game changer. Its the new Galaxy Note 4 or LGV60.
The LG V60 had a snapdragon 888.

@@LovesGrilling real people want a fast device that responds well. They don't want lag or lackluster support. Security is big and Motorola is known for bad support. They make "throw away" phones. OnePlus is going to be releasing the Nord N40 in a few weeks. I'm waiting on that one. OnePlus has been killing it.

Nothing can beat v60 but this phone does come close. V60 has quad-dac, active stylus support, 4k60fps, dual screen, 4 microphones and better processor

Expect software update policy and ip rating that doesn't provide value for money processor throttles a lot thermal management in not good in Exynos processor and games are not optimised well on the Exynos processor
Better camera yes not better processor. I have a53 and I hate Exynos never again.

The beauty of this phone's price is after about 6 months, the price stabilizes at $250, like all other Moto G Styluses that came before it. If you don't already have one, it is time to get one.

The pixel 6a is only has better os updates and camera the battery screen and hardware on the moto are all better
