Firstly let's remember those who lost their lives and the family's who are still suffering from loosing their loved ones....I wouldn't fly on this aircraft, nice upload 👍

Boeing found itself in a difficult place with Airbus. A victim of timing and poor management. Rather than taking the long route and developing a new aircraft that could perhaps have lasted 20 or 30 plus years, their put their faith an strapping new engines to an existing product with the belief that technology could resolve the situation. Things will be resolved, but the loss of face will take an age to recover from I feel.

Reminds me of Volkswagen. (Although many other companies did the same as vw)

The problem is it's not just MCAS anymore. All sorts of whistleblowers have come out about Boeing quality. It all seems to stem from the period where Boeing totally subcontracted almost everything and set up their Carolina plant to get cheap labour. Boeing is clearly just run by accountants now, and this is really going to hurt.

Let's hope the Max will actually be safe to fly soon.

Im sure it will be. The plane's wings didn't fall off in flight it had a faulty flight control logic that needed to be fixed.

If the aircraft is as safe as the Boeing CEO leads us to believe then how has a fix taken this long to get written and into the hands of the regulators for testing??

This gives me a sense of hope, actually. Hopefully Boeing are taking their time in fixing the 737 Max (undoubtedly their most infamous plane to date and soon-to-be biggest failure in commercial aviation along with the A380). If anything, the mainstream media is actually LESS trustworthy when it comes to anything.

They should by Airbus A380 and put a Boing sticker on it. Cheaper and safer!

Boeing has dropped the ball with the MAX programme and the credibility of MAX products has been tarnished for a long time or possibility for ever. There is no guarantee that other aviation regulators like the EASA, CASA, JAA, etc with approval type certification for respective countries, even if the FAA does give its approval. Since Airbus the a good range of single aisle aircraft products that are better than the B737MAX, if I was Boeing, I will start developing a new single aisle aircraft from scratch using the design technology that has been gained from the B787 programme, like what has been done for the 'B797' and the B777X. If Boeing sticks with the B737 MAX design, Airbus will be the winner with the A320neo and A220 families than what Boeing would with the tarnished B737MAX family.
