- In this documentary series, Mwaniki Mageria takes us to the Turkana Community who teach us how to roast meat in their cultural way. The Turkana are a Nilotic people native to the Turkana County in northwest Kenya; they refer to their land as Turkan.
The Turkana are known for pastoralism, hunting and fishing. They kept cattle, goats, camels, sheep and poultry, especially ducks. Their animals provided them with milk, meat and skins which were used to make bags and clothing items.
